Heal the broken mind

Some wounds heal naturally and maybe the same might be said with both the heart and mind. But really, how exactly does healing the mind works? Many discuss healing the heart but this leaves behind and disregarded the ever important mind. Without it decisions are poor, there are blunders. What then are the steps that have to be taken in improving the mind? If you have ten minutes to heal your mind, what will you do?

the heart cant make a decision without the contribution of the mind, but the mind can make a decision even with out the help of the heart, or the opinion should i say. when healing the heart, the mind takes place. say for example, healing a broken heart. how will you heal the pain in your heart if all you think is still the man who caused it? this time you have to focus on your mind. tell your mind to stop thinking of that guy and soon your heart will heal. tell your mind to go out and mingle with friends and soon that heart will heal. but when the mind will be in pain, or will be broken as you say, i think it's not broken. i think it's just thinking the wrong way. paid killers, they dont use their heart anymore, they dont feel any guilt. but their mind is still working, it's telling them to kill people to earn. that is an example of wrong thinking, and perhaps they have a broken brain.

from the response you put it's like the heart is easier to mend than a troubled mind. it is clear then that prisons and mental hospitals do have a purpose after all. im looking for a quick way to ease the mind from the thorns it wore so that prisons nor mental institution would be useless.
