I think Pune and Kochi the 2 teams which is having Lowest home support. They dont get fan support even when they Play in their home ground. Kochi stadium is a big one and as kerala is a small state the stadium never gets fully filled, but that alone is not the reason. In Koch Vs Delhi match many kochi fans was cheering for delhi when Sehwag started hitting.Even the commentators was confused, which team is the crowd supporting? I am also from kerala but I am not at all a kochi fan.same way many other fellow people in kerala support various other team. Actually In our college we all first checked whether there is any match for mumbai in Kochi's home? but unfortunately it was not there, otherwise that match would have been full in viewers.Same way here from trivandrum many go to see matches to see their heros perfoming, like viru, Gambhir, Dhoni etc. Pune's case is more different, It the lossing streak of Pune kept the fans down. And in yesterday's match, it was like pune playing in mumbais home. shurely Pune and Mumbai are very near. And the stadium in Navi Mumbai was the home ground for Mumbai initially. and all love sachin every where in the world, specially when it comes to his state, no doubt there was more mumbai supporters than PWI. KKR also felt the fan support as minimum during the start of this IPL due to the avoidence of DAD from the team. But the SRK factor and the good performance of the team has gained the fan support back again. Which is the team according to you, that have less fan support even in their own HOME ground???

I guess its pune!! Because, I'm a maharashtrian, but right now, I really don't know whom to support, Mumbai Indians, the team, which is having a 95% chances of winning this season, or Pune Warriors, who are kind of doing well, at first! At the start of it, there was a good support for the team, but due to poor performance, there is no more support for the team I speculate!

ya the pune team started well, but not able to carry forward their good form. the team is very good in papers, but not able to deliver their best. and also maharashtra has two teams, so obviously the fan will go behind the winning team, so for pune thats a reason for less in fan support.

Well, You are right. the reason is that these teams have been formed relatively recently, and hence have not been able to make any bonding with the local fans. May be by next year, we could start seeing club loyalty like the way we see for Chennai Super Kings, Kolkata Knight Riders, or Mumbai Indians. Regards

new teams may gain fans slowly. now i feel that kochi gaining the fans as they are having a chance to enter play off, hope that these new teams will get fans in next season.

For me,i think Pune has the lowest fanbase amongest all the franchise in IPL.However they might increase that as they brought Sourav Ganguly in their team.At the moment Pune is languishing at the bottom of the table and i don't think the inclusion of Dada can bring their fortune back as the playoffs looks far far away from them.

DADA inclusion will make them able to get into the play off, but it can gain some fan support. I think the team plays well if they have good fan support.

I feel Pune Warriors have the less home support because they are not playing in Pune and so they are playing in Navi Mumbai. So definitely most of them support for Mumbai not for Pune Warriors. So I feel Pune Warriors has the less home crowd support.

ya two teams from same state is a reason for low number of fans for pune. and Sachin factor attracts the fan so mumbai gains more fans.
