I DON'T like some of the videos youtube is recommending me!

I understand that youtube sort of 'offers' you videos related to thing you've watched, but recently, I noticed that some of my recommended videos have come way too far from my choice videos. One example was that video that the site recommended about a medical procedure - apparently it appeared because I've watched about medical effects of some drugs. I was shocked when I suddenly realized that that medical procedure was for the enlargement of an old man's p*nis by an inflatable balloon installed within the man's organ. I never knew genitalia could be shown on youtube (LOLs). The video was however presented in a decent manner and it was quite informative. What annoys me a bit are those videos with contents of no sense like some oh-you-are-so-sexy videos of divers (after watching international sports features); not-so-likable parody videos (after watching the video features being parodied) and all sorts of those things. Well to keep it clear I am not really blaming youtube on this. I'm sure it's none of their developers' intentions. Just expressing my thoughts on things I have experienced recently. How about you? Do you have similar experiences?

Sometimes Youtube recommends wrong videos; it happens to me too, but I don't find it very bugging: simply delete your cookies or clean your browser, then refresh the page and it should be fine. I believe the video recommendation system relies on video tags and keywords; however, I'm not sure about this. If someone has a more detailed knowledge of the system, I think it would be very interesting to learn something about it. Also, I don't think genitalia can be shown on Youtube: it might be a video the administrators haven't noticed yet, so it's possible that it will be deleted in the next days.

I see... probably that's why they were not censored. Thanks for your reply!

I have had some recommendations on youtube that I was not interested with, but like the above responder stated that after clearing cookies all was removed. I can't say recently I have seen the ones you mentioned. Wondering if there is a way to have them reported if they are inappropriate.

Well in the case of those genitalia stuff, I believe it need not be reported. I think youtube knows it very well. I have reason to believe that the site confirms first that the viewer is above 18 before showing the videos.
