Yes, Shane Warne has announced his retirement from the IPL. This also means he has retired from Professional Cricket. What a career he had!!! One of the most successful bowler in Cricket. Cricket World will definitely miss him.

Shane warne is currently 41 years and 242 days old and in ages like that I think its really hard to maintain an athletic body, let alone play a game like Cricket. Glad that he had managed to play 4 IPL seasons and according to sources is going to be associated with Rajastan Royals as some kind of official in the coming years which is not a bad thing. He had a decent IPL career and hope that he succeeds in his new venture.

Hay I too heard the news that Shane Warne is going to retire and I feel it is a right decision because now he is 41 years old and if he get any injury it is very difficult to cure.So I feel he has taken a right desicion.

Hi, Yes, I heard it yesterday or saw on TV that Shane Warne was going to retire from IPL after this season is over. I was taken aback what made him take this decision. Of course every individual has his/her own choice and priority. Before retirement from Test Cricket he had 708 wickets to his name and the last wicket was Andrew Flintoff. The first wicket however was Ravi Shashtri in 1990/91. With the retirement of Kumble, Muthia, and Warne missed three great magicians of spin bowling.

Shane Warne could continue playing, as it is Twenty 20 and you need to bowl just 4 overs and have to play merely 17 matches at maximum if team reaches final. So Shane could able to continue with his fine fitness. Whatever he has reached at mid 40s so maybe he needs to take rest after all. But he announced to continue the other jobs with RR like being a coach, mentor for youth development and more upcoming successes for RR in the next IPLs.

Another of the typical ugly, fighting Aussie cricketer. He brought a lot of attitude and skill to the game and he will surely be missed.Admittedly one of the greatest ever cricketer the game has ever seen.
