Solar energy can be used in home, business by various kind of techniques. Solar panels are available in the market which are base on the sun light. Everyone knows that the sun light is great power on the earth. It is used in various kind of works like to make water hot and to produce electrical energy. The Governments are offering subsidies to those who are using these. But despite the developments in solar energy, why it is not being used widely by the people?

solar panels are expensive,if you're a millionare you can afford that, but with us average peepz we can't afford to buy one. most of our salaries goes to foods, bills, clothes and only a small amount will be left and that would go for our savings so that we can have funds during emergency.
so, even if its the practical thing to do, to have solar panels it would be the fartest thing in our mind to buy.

The solar energy is not being used because every one thinks the unit (solar panel) is so expensive. I think the same way too. Maybe if someone would come out and explain to the people of the cost benefit analysis of acquiring this, if it is really feasible, then those who can afford might be convinced to buy one. Later on, others will just follow.

I think one of the main reason is that it is expensive, and not so many people can afford it. And it still takes a long time to get the money you spent on it back.. It's not so widely introduced to- people can't just cut their power lines and start a new one.

Mostly solar powe is not used in some places, the electric companies charge a very low rate, and it is more economical to simply use that rather than invest large sums up front. In other areas, it would be more economical in the long run to use solar panels, but in this economy, companies simply don't have the capital to invest.

I feel Solar energy things are not working fast to a great when we compared to electricity and fuel things. But in the future every one is definitely going to use only solar power.

Where they are good at being renewable energy, they pollute! Don't believe it?
It works this way. Solar panels are not good at direct power. They need batteries to charge. They collect elecricity in the day, and charge batteries for the night for lights mainly. Batteries are polluting. Panels have limited life and are hard to dispose in a green way. Maintainence is technical and is expensive. Not affordable by common man.

Hi there! First and foremost, I think you just might have started the discussion in the wrong interest which is under friend. But anyway, in answer to you discussion, solar power is expensive and not everyone is really that willing to invest into creating or purchasing materials or equipment for solar energy production. It usually starts with the government in implementing such methods but I guess, funds are really not enough to begin with. If there could only be a way to get the whole solar energy generation to be cheap enough then maybe its use will be as rampant as it could get.

It is true that that the sunlight is a great source of power. Unfortunately we human haven't used it at its max. I think another reason is it is expensive so it is not being used widely

i think solar panels are too expensive to be of practical use. the generated output is too low that it does not justify its cost.
a simple panel could only power a few hours of lighting for a single lamp. and the source is way too unpredictable, and almost unreliable (at least here in my country).
