It is a sad day for golf as we've all lost a great golfing legend - Seve Ballesteros from Spain to cancer. The five-time major winning Spaniard who had been through four surgeries performed after 2008 to remove a malignant tumor from his brain has finally lost his battle to his terminal illness. There will never be another golfer quite like Seve Ballesteros. Perhaps no other sportsman quite like him either. The golfing fraternity characterizes him as a put together of the charisma of Arnold Palmer and the shot-making skills of Tiger Woods. Yet at his peak, hard though it might be to believe, he had an appeal that was greater than the sum of those two giants of the game. Such a prolific role model golfer on and off the course, professional golf will certainly miss him.
