There is so much wisdom in this Bible book, so we need to go back again and again and meditate on the great truths we find there. Have you read it? Please share with us the treasures you have found there. Here is some verses from Proverbs chapter 2 (New International Version, ©2011) 3 indeed, if you call out for insight and cry aloud for understanding, 4 and if you look for it as for silver and search for it as for hidden treasure, 5 then you will understand the fear of the LORD and find the knowledge of God. 6 For the LORD gives wisdom; from his mouth come knowledge and understanding. (Young's Literal Translation) 3 For, if for intelligence thou callest, For understanding givest forth thy voice, 4 If thou dost seek her as silver, And as hid treasures searchest for her, 5 Then understandest thou fear of Jehovah, And knowledge of God thou findest. 6 For Jehovah giveth wisdom, From His mouth knowledge and understanding. Definitely a small book packed with divine wisdom! I even made a little concordance of all the subjects discussed in this Bible book which can be found on Triond. Keep digging in this book and you will not be disappointed!

I would very much like to have a copy of the concordance handy. Is it possible to copy from Triond? Or could you send a copy? It would help to quickly find something constructive to give in our responses in myLot and when we talk with our friends. Yeah, let´s keep digging for treasures in this book of wisdom..

The Bible is a book of wisdom, and i enjoy readying but.The bible have a of verses to mediate on i like every chapter and the one i don't understand much is Revelation . Proverbs is a learning chapter, its about truth and love. People should read at least a chapter a day, just to get Knowledge and understanding about the word of god.

You are right, tash we should read at least a chapter a day! We can also pray for wisdom so that we get help to understand. Most of the Proverbs are easy to understand, and we can think about them often. A friend of mine thought that we should always have the Bible so near that we can reach for it easily. That can be a good rule to follow. If you wish to learn to know the Bible even better, you might find the site jw.org useful. You can download literature and dramas and reading of the Bible that you can listen to. You can choose from 40 languages. Also watchtower.org has a lot of information and I think it is in you language too. I did a search on the English site with the word "revelation" and found some interesting articles. You can choose between 418 languages on this site!! Have a great day..

Ah, on of my favourite versus is in proverbs, It goes, "The rich ruleth over the poor, and the borrower is the servant to the lender" And you will find that in Proverbs chapter 22 verse 7, it is one of my favourite lines in the whole book, because it taught me that when I borrow from someone, get a loan or use a credit card, I am no longer working for me, but rather I am working to give my money to someone else. A great lesson to learn. Sincerely and With Appreciation.

Yes, that is practical wisdom that we find a lot of in the Proverbs and the rest of the Bible too, of course! Many of us need to learn how easy it is to borrow but how hard it is to pay back. I guess we all need to read some verses from the Proverbs every day.

The book of Proverbs is one of my favorite books in the bible. The verses gave me guidance in my everyday life. Full of wisdom indeed. I also love the book of Psalm, these books made me closer to Him everyday.

Hi, chiwasaki Not so long ago I started a discussion about the book of Psalms. You find it in my profile. Looks like there are lots of people here that appreciate the Bible, and may have read Psalms and Proverbs and more. Also the book of Job was well known by many. One interesting thing, that shows that God has inspired the writers of the Bible, is that it in line with the modern science. In a time when people thought that the earth was lying on the back of four elephants, tha Bible told us how it really is: "God stretches the northern sky over empty space and hangs the earth on nothing." Job 26:7 (New Living Translation)
