Is your wife your best friend in life

Well everybody needs a friend to share the ups and down of his life. To share all the moments be it good, bad or ugly with someone. I also have many friends and some are very close to me since my childhood. But yes the best friend is only 1. I would like to know your opinion on whether you feel your wife is the best friend of your in your life or is it somebody else. Please also share your experiences so that they can be helpful for guys like me who are newly married.

Your wife should be your best friend. I don't think that dating partners should be. If they are, they should be married so they can take gain of the legal benefits that marriage offers.

Alright I would first have to answer this cause some people argue it your significant other "can" be your best friend. So in regards to your question no your wife is the best friend just because she is your wife, but she can be or at least be one of them. Another thing I hate is the connotation that people have only one best friend you can have many. I had a girl I thought was going to marry, we didn't and broke up long story, but I chose her as my best friend cause she was. I think it is your personal opinion on your wife and how you two are and like I said she can be one of your best friends, even if she is not you have her cause you love her and enjoy her company and you have the foundation of the relationship.

Being a wife of someone, I am not sure whether my husband treats me as his friend.
