I love jewelry grab bags and have bought several of these grab bags on ebay with mixed results. I loved one seller. This was a jewelry store that sold very expensive and fine jewelry but they also sold jewelry grab bags. The grab bags were bought by auction. This was jewelry that needed tender loving care. Pieces were not perfect but many were wearable or needed just a little fixing up. Other pieces were scrap. All was costume jewelry. I got some GREAT grab bags at GREAT prices. Then this seller stopped selling grab bags and now, I believe this seller is no longer on ebay.
I have tried to find similar sellers with negative results. I tried buying using auction from other sellers but never could win another auction. I have bought several grab bags using buy it now. I have been real unhappy with what I received. I got ripped off. I got junk in some instances.
ebay claims that they offer buyer / seller protection but I have found that that is not accurate. It is your word against the seller or buyer's word. I filed one complaint but was unhappy with results. i gave up on my complaint.
I am interested in experiences of other persons using ebay, especially negative experiences. I have heard many persons rave about their ebay experiences but I know that a lot of people like myself have had bad experiences.

It's so bad when things go wrong on ebay. I buy a lot of things on ebay for years now, especially clothes and make up. I have to say that 2 times I bought some clothes and didn't received, but I forgot to fill the complaint form. It's because where I live it's normal to wait 2 months to receive your product, so, sometimes I forget the things that I buy.
But, I already bought around 100 times on ebay and only 2 times I didn't received, I think that's good rate.
I have a friend that bought a external hard drive for last year christmas, but never received. He fill a complaint on ebay and the seller sent the proof of shipping. It's kind bad because he can't do anything about this product anymore. That's why I don't buy thing too expensive on ebay.

I am glad that you had mostly positive experiences on ebay but nevertheless, you still paid for and did not receive two other items. That would scare me from buying other products. Did you get your money back? What about your friend? Did he get reimbursed. I will not buy anything expensive on ebay. I stick with inexpensive grab bags except for the last one because it was a charity fund raiser. And that is the one where the jewelry was the junkiest. I will continue to be cautious.

i bought a ring on ebay once and i never received it. i complained to both the seller and ebay and heard nothing. the seller kept on happily selling things even after that! i have found that most times, ebay has returned my money though if i havent received my item. that was the only bad experience i had.

In searching ebay, I have found that a lot of people have had bad experiences. I am afraid to buy any more jewelry grab bags on ebay because I have had so many bad experiences now. All the sellers I bought from had high ratings.
