Blog Ownership on myLot

If I loaded my blog onto myLot, would I earn more money? From entries I make, or from people from myLot responding to my blog entries? Does it count as activity in the same way as discussions do? I can´t find the information I´m looking for in the FAQs, so I was wondering if anyone knows. Are there any aspects of blog ownership on myLot that I might have overlooked? Is your blog on myLot?

Linking your blog is a 'service' that MyLot provides for free, is subject to some restrictions on subject matter and requires approval. As far as I know, people who comment (in MyLot) on your blog (and in the 'News' section as well) will earn from their activity but the only benefit to you is greater exposure and, possibly, an advantage in back-linking (though I can't be certain about that). For more information, see the FAQs on 'Blogs' and the blog guidelines: http://www.mylot.com/o/blogsubmissionguidelines.aspx

Thankyou Owlwings. I had found the submission guidelines, but could find nothing on payments. Sounds like I´d be better off following and commenting other people´s blogs if it´s a few extra pennies I´m after. Thankyou.

If it's the extra pennies, then you are certainly better off commenting on other's blogs! I have never tried it but it might be interesting to do ONLY that for one day to see what happens. If that day's earnings show results then you know that it's worthwhile.

I'm all for additional exposure, but at the end of the day I'm not trying to get referrals or make money from my blog so extra readers aren't something I'm desperate for.

I think you'd earn money as much as you participated in the discussion. But if they participate in the discussion by going directly to your blog, and not within mylot, then they don't get paid. I am thinking of adding my blog too. But I am wondering how to do that.

Owlwings, who commented above, is very knowledgeable and has kindly included a link which has submission guidelines. Best of luck with it, I'd be interested to know how you get on.
