You know what... I think this should be based on each people. I mean, we should be responsible. Especially the parents. For me, it's pretty common to think about not having so many children in the family when both you and your husband only earn 10k a month right? Although sad to say, like what we see on the streets... those poor people are actually making their young ones as a living! Which is very very sad. Imagine no house to live with, no job and yet they've got 12 children! over population is really bringing damage to our environment. over population = over pollution. over population = massive housing project = no more rice field / forest / mountains / extinction of animals / dirty rivers ..etc... There are so many issues. So I think whether it'll be a pro / anti. we should all be responsible. and government should take actions for those illiterate like those people on the streets. it's their obligation in the first place.... but.. still people are people. it should basically start with our ownselves.

I am kinda ambivalent about it. Getting the bill passed would greatly help our country diminish the ever growing number of population which I think also contributes to the increase of poverty and hunger and crimes as well, as a result of poverty a person is forced to commit a crime because he has tummies to feed. whereas getting the bill turned down will even make our country's situation even more worse, yes the church was right and always will be because everyone has the right to life and to live, it is a natural right but just imagine how many babies are born every minute just come to think of that. President Noynoy's notion on it when he was still campaigning as president was that "responsible parenthood" which I could not agree because some of the families that have more than 7 kids are those on lowest level/class families and now how could they be a responsible parent when they can't even afford to send their eldest kid to school? just think of this and we'll have a good picture whether it is good or if it is deserving for the bill to pass or not.

I am PRO about it. Except the abortion part because I am Pro-Life. The catholic church is making too much a fuss about this. We need to control the population increase. I don't think it's too bad. :)

I am a dedicated Christian, a roman catholic to be precise. But seeing the world as it is now, I think it is high time that we consider using modern tools of contraceptives to control the population. It is impractical to instill to the minds of our youngsters, or to the whole citizenry, to uphold the church approved methods of birth control. For example: ABSTINENCE.
