Lately I've been downloading and reading a lot of e-books which I enjoy tremendously. Although I read them thru my laptop I think it would be nice to have an e-book reader so I can read them conveniently, bring it along, have a dictionary along side it, etc... What e-book do you suggest? Is Kindle 3 cool? How about the Nook? Let me know...

I am in the same boat as you - I'd quite like an e-book reader. One of my friends has a 3G Kindle, and I tried it and was very impressed. I am tempted by the Nook though, as I like the idea of a colour screen. I have not had a chance to try a Nook though, I've only seen pictures on the Internet.

I decided at the first of the year that I wanted an e-reader too, so I started doing a lot of research and came to the conclusion that I wanted the Sony pocket e-reader. The reviews were pretty good. Mainly I wanted the Sony because of the size and price. During all my research I found out I could download right to my phone. So that took care of that. I'm not tech smart. Technical stuff intimidates me. At first I wasn't sure if I wanted to use my phone but it has been such a blessing. The reason I considered an e-reader in the first place was because when I lay in bed to read I don't want to disturb my husband with the light and the noise of page turning. Also, when I lay on my side near the edge of the bed, I was always dropping the book on the floor when I tried to turn the page. A paperback or e-reader is just something else I'd have to keep up with. I ALWAYS have my phone with me if I'm away from the house. Now, whether I'm in the grocery-store line, backed up waiting for a gas pump to open up, or waiting at an extra long red-light. I can read. At work I'm actually glad we can't take lunch together because I always have a new e-book to read. You posted this four weeks ago. Did you ever get your e-reader? If you did, which one did you pick? Thanks for such a good topic.
