there are lot of imitations here in the Philippines one of this is the TOMS SHOES we know their shoes is too expensive and because of practicality we came up to an idea that we could imitate their product. i remembered my instructor told us about the TOMS shoes, in every pair of shoes that you buy you helped an person who doesn't have one. i'am not talking only for the unsatisfying quality of the imitated shoes, yes its cheap its only a half of thousand when we buy thous imitated shoes, but i'am also talking about the social responsibility, can't you see when we buy the original we are a responsible costumer and a citizen son of god because we are also helping other people through purchasing their shoes. think about it? when we imitate product we are also stilling.. is it worthless to buy the original ones??

in some aspects, it is ok. why not tell the capitalists and the businessmen to be humane enough to sell them at a lower price that is affordable for many struggling Pinoys?

I do not want offend in any country where uneyploymend is high ansd has a high growth of the informal economy has imitation of famous brands of shoes and other accessories for men. This is because big brands sell their products in countries where life standart is high

For me, I would rather buy stuffs without brand than buy branded ones that are not fake. because as you said it is a kind of stealing. If it was me, I would feel bad too if there are imitations of my own work.

Now it is everywhere, and perhaps the most in India and China. You know what first in 1990's only Nokia and Samsung were in India, but later pops out lots of companies which doesn't copy any kind of product from Nokia or samsung. And now China made products are came out in market that is the imitation of each and every Product of Nokia, Samsung and many other mobile companies. Last month Nokia release E7 for about 29000 Indian Rupees and exactly at the end of that month i saw a its imitation which was costing me only 3400 Indian rupees. That is really harmful for Nokia but after all it's Democracy in India what can others do. This is just an example lot of China made products offers at low price without guarantee and hence affects the sale of other Branded products, i can't understand how other Companies use to keep quite ??? They should make movements in order to be a great part of market economy.

Original shoes are better than imitated shoes because yes there are several imitation shoes but it is better opt for original ones because we may not say how many days these imitated shoes will last so always buy original ones even thhough they were costly.....

I think it is illegal to imitate another company products. It is infact a criminal act and also a punishable offence. I think if one buy an original product, it is worth the value and you are also keeping someone in employment. But immitated products is encouraging illegalities and it also affects a country developement

Yep, a lot of the original products are being imitated here. It's everywhere. I gotta admit though, I buy a lot of imitations because they're cheap. Well, right now we don't really need to worry about who's selling what. If we buy the real thing, we'll make their company rich. If we buy the imitations, we'll make the culprits rich. Either way, we lose money so it's more practical to choose the lesser evil here, the imitations.

Imitation for me is like copying others work which in the sense is also stealing. Unfortunately it has been a widespread business here in the Philippines and more people today prefer to buy products which are cheap and has a good brand name because times are hard right now that's why We can't just simply blame people for doing so. Back then we had more successful Filipino businessmen but because of the importation of these imitation products in our country resulted them to forcibly close their businesses because of the poor demand of their products and more on the imitations, and as a consequence, people also began losing their jobs, which is really the saddest part. I think that by buying the original product especially the Filipino made ones will make us helping our local businessmen. original ones are more reliable and durable compared to a fake, so it will also help ourselves save a penny.
