Are you patient? How are you going to develop the virtue of patience?

I'm not always patient. There were many instances in my life that I became impatient especially in my ministry as choir trainer. I usually get impatient of choir members who cannot easily get the right melody. But there were times also that I feel guilty of becoming impatient. How about you? Are you patient? How are you going to enhance this virtue?

What is the role of patience? I asked many times. Until some time ago I was not patient by nature. Confused, spoiled and no little patience. That's my characterization was until the end of college. In fact, the third year . Then I realized that being patient is a quality. I learned step by step what means patience. I learned to listen to people, I realized it's more important to listen to others, do not talk like a broken die. I learned to be careful about what my interlocutor tells me even if I do not care what he says. Certainly, the story or the story of man next to me means something to him. What hurt him with my indifference? And I like to be listened to when I say something. I think the old adage "What you do not like it, another does not make them. " The sad is that few people around me believe in the principle of patience. Everywhere meeting people agitated, upset, angry, too focused on what happens to themselves, to be a careful and others. Many times I left looking down, sad as a story, even between friends, and, after a few words, we see that everybody was preoccupied with something else. After five minutes would come back and ask me ... "Oh, what did you say?". There I said it ... I did not want to repeat the story.

Before, I am really impatient. But I realized that God doesn't want me be like this. It is said that children of God bear the fruit of the spirit and you just have to recognize it in your life. Its already yours. When something makes you irritating, pray that your patience overpower you.
