Try to look for the file that you might have downloaded and delete it. Or try installing a legit antivirus program that can scan your computer for any infections. If this doesn't work maybe its not a virus but an annoying pop-up. Try turning on your pop-up blocker. A pop-up???maybe its a spyware or something so try downloading an anti-spyware program too. If you could describe what happened in detail i bet people would be able to help you. I hope i did ^_^.

Have you any anti-virus software installed on your computer? If not install AVG or AVAST free anti-virus software which can help to some extent. Paid anti-virus softwares like Norton, Macafe, or Kaspersky can be of great help. To resolve your present problem, try looking into your control panel, add/remove programmes and remove the unwanted popup if it got installed. That may be the only solution.

You can scan your system with malabytes and if there is anything there it usually catches almost any adwares and any in the registry. It is free from malabytes.org You can also use spyware search and destroy which is also free, but I prefer the top one. Do you have an anti-virus in your computer? I use Norton's Symantec Endpoint 11 but that one is not free. Also reformatting your entire hard drive will definitely be rid of anything there but make sure you back up anything you will want to keep. Here is a discussion that may be useful and drop down to box 2, I did not want to re-type some one elses suggestion: http://www.mylot.com/w/discussions/2522248.aspx Good luck and hope you rid of it soon, as I know how annoying it is.

first of all a pop up is not really a virus . and most browsers will block up wanted pop ups , u just need to change the settings of your browser for that . Anyways in case of a virus , u can use a renowned anti-virus to remove virus . though all types of viruses cant be removed easily even through anti - viruses

Hi, try AVG it's the biz and it's free. It's the only one my computer geek of a boyfriend will use, he swears by it.

If you really try to get rid of any virus on your computer, you must have to install a renowned paid anti-virus device which you collect from online or offline as you desire.
