I can hardly type this for laughing, but here goes. A while ago, I heard a shout from the bedroom. My husband had pulled a bit too hard on a drawer in the wall unit, with the result that a book on the top shelf had dislodged, landing on his head. As he's got about as much hair as Yul Brynner, it hurt considerably. I was quite concerned, until I picked up the book, and read the title. The book was by one of my favourite authors, Philippa Gregory. And the title? 'Fallen Skies!' Yes, you read it right. Even my husband had to laugh - eventually! Has anything like this ever happened to you? Call it serendipity, or whatever you like, but I'd love to hear your similar stories.

Quite coincidental. I probably have had something lie that happen to me before, but of course I can't think of it at this moment. I have had de ja vu before as well and that is sometimes pretty eerie!

Hello, Stephanie. Yes, I've had a touch of deja vu as well. As you say, it's eerie, but isn't life just wonderful? It's so full of coincidences that aren't really coincidences, and similar stuff.

Ah yes, I know what you mean. Life is quite interesting that way. I think everything happens for a reason, so a coincidence is never really a coincidence.

Hello, Cher. Yes, it's certainly made my day, and I just had to share it with my MyLot friends. Luckily it was a paperback and not a hardback, otherwise we might have finished up in the Emergency Room, as it's quite a thick book.

I do feel bad having a laugh on your hubby but this was so hilarious and I wanted to pop in and say 'hello' so... Hello! I guess I could tell you of similar situations if only I could remember them, or at leastone, but.... I guess I'm getting old too!

Hello, Diana. We're still laughing about it today. They say that truth is stranger than fiction, and it certainly is in this case. Don't feel guilty - there's no lasting harm done - at least not this time, anyway.

I'd tell you my similar story, but a bottle of ginkgo biloba fell on my head, and I forgot it...

That's very funny! I have one, a little bit like it. My son was in trouble a few weeks back for not bringing in a book back to their school library. When I finally got the note from the school, and asked him about it, he said that he forgot where he placed the book. And the title of the book is... Forgetful Joe.

Hello, Bounce. That's a great one - and a double whammy. Not only did he forget to return the book, he forgot where it was. Is your son's name Joe? If not, perhaps you should consider changing it.

Hello, Kalyni. Yes, it can be very painful being short of hair. I never realised reading was so dangerous until Sunday!
