How do you react to change?

Life is a constant change. People I have been keeps on changing. And just today, my surrounding again has change. Our office transferred location from West Ave., Q.C. to Quezon Ave., Q.C. This is just a temporary transfer since it would only be for 2 to 3 months until the office construction is done. I don't respond well to change. I mean, I don't easily get at ease and immediately focus on work. It is so difficult for me. But I tried my best to focus by identifying what needs to be done. How about you guys? How do you react to change? Can you suggest some tips on how I can easily move on after this change?

It depends on the change really. If it's beneficial to me, then I would be happy about it and I'll support it. But if it's not, I'll just state my opinion. If it's accepted, well and good. If not, I'll give myselft time to sulk then move on (this moving on, I had to learn for many years as well). We also changed office locations last year (after several years of staying put in one building) and it was much further from my current residence. The team's management tried to talk to the higher ups but to no avail. The transfer was inevitable. That I accepted and on with my new route to the office. I wasn't happy about it so I opted to just transfer somewhere nearer the new location. I was lucky enough to find one that's walking distance :). For me to move on (because I really wasn't open to changing locations since I was already happy with the way things were), I just thought of the new and exciting places near the new location. I was fortunate as well that time that the thought of moving to a new apartment excited me and even made me look forward to the transfer. It got to a point where I wanted to make the days go faster so that we can already transfer and settle down to the new office location. So I guess it would help if you just focus on the pros of this new change. Well, just my thoughts. :)

Hi manubla. You are right. I really need to focus on the positive side that this transfer has brought about. I need to exercise my thinking mind so I'll find new pleasing discoveries. Thanks for the input.

change is unavoidable in our lives.from my birth to nowadays,i exprienced a lot of changes.when i put on my schoolbag,i strated to learn how to adapt to school's life.when i finished priminary school ,i waked to middle school.this is also a chang in my life.until now,i am in the university.it is again a new environment for me.the three changes are the most meaningful to me.because every time i meet all kinds of choice and the former choice has a big influnec on the latter choice in some extent.as for me,i can't absolutely say i don't like chang.sometimes change bring me some surprise and windfall.but sometimes chang let me confuse,i don't know whether my decision is right.

The older you'll get, the more complicated would be the situations or changes. Enjoy your schooling days. Store as many happy memories as you can get. That way, you'll have something to come back to when you start working. Have a nice day.

it depends on how big the change is.if it's like an office relocation, i might whine at first if it is inconvenient for me but i will eventually make some adjustment be ok with it. but if it was a new office and a new job, id be nervous because i am quite scared of big changes because of the uncertainty that they come along with.

It is quite scary if you are not used to changes. The location is actually a less concern. The difficult part is the inavailability of equipments. We are still neutralizing the situation. I already spent 110 pesos for the broadband. It is a personal expense. But it is quite difficult to work without internet. Anyway, all these will just pass me by. I just have to be steadfast. Happy myloting.

The only constant thing in this world is change. So you have to expect change everyday of your life. But change is for the better. What to do? Simple, accept it, because it is reality. Though it takes time, but learn to dance to what is the music. God bless us all. Jeff

Humans are known for the best of the adaptation qualities found in any of the species existing on earth. Change should be considered good for whatever reason as we realize its importance much later. So consider it as an opportunity to achieve something which you were looking for in your life. Locational, situational, conditional and environmental changes may impact our behaviour to some extent but the short term to long term impact of such changes will leave a good impression on our mind. So consider such changes as welcome sign to the prosperity and adapt to all such changes.

Change can be painful for a while. But when the pain is through, you will find a stronger element within you... a stronger heart and a more knowledgeable mind. I just hope the difficulty will pass immediately... the soonest possible time. :)

Change is always difficult. You are comfortable where you were and now everything is different. In some cases it seems like you have to learn everthing over again eventhough many things do not change.

You are very right. It really feels like I have to start all over again. But yes, change is good. I am very aware of that. Though there are times that I really find it hard to adapt quickly. Yet still, I'm quite adaptive. See you around.

As you have rightly said the only thing that is constant is change. I am just the opposite. I like change. I keep rearranging furniture just to live in a changed surrounding. My garden also gets a wee bit of change too. I change my hair style, I change my soap, my shampoo, I cook different things.I have travelled a lot too. The only thing I do not change are my principles. Unless you start liking change there is little you can do to adjust to it and so start doing small changes around you.

Hi allknowing. Maybe it has something to do with the way I was brought up. My parents are both homebodies. My younger brother is a homebody too. My sister, though she works in a corporation, the same with what I have, yet still she can also be considered as a homebody. Actually, I am the only person in our family who has traveled a lot. I noticed though that after so much traveling, which can be attributed to my previous job as a trainer, that I longed for staying at home and doing the things I so much love to do. Maybe I got tired. Anyway, you are right... I have to get back to that high horse and learn to love change. Thanks.

hi snowhybiscuis You are right that life is a constant change.. and all we must do is to enjoy that change in us... we can't stay on what we always do and what we also see... we sometimes need to move on and part of it is to adapt on that change.. We must always put into our mind that we can't stay where ever we are nor, so we must be always ready for anything.. We must practice and let our self to adapt in another kind of environment.. Don't mind the location of your workplace, focus on your work and don't mind the changes.. because you said that 2-3 month only... that is only just a short period of time.. just enjoy what you are doing and that months will be just a days for you..

Yes, you are right. I am actually finding things around that I would enjoy. I will focus on these and let the day pass me by as I do my job. I may have little choices with my situation right now but I am determined to make the most of it. Thanks for commenting. Have a nice day.
