When we were kids, we used to refer to evil of circular music as rock and roll, and our parent use to keep us informed that the people who listen to rock music, are just evil and the ones singing are just the real demos ..and they have sold out their heart to the devil himself . sometime when i watch the rock music videos i see what they used to say as true/.. this rock songs are so scary i will not give any example ,,,but i think u can bear witness...f from the dressing , the shouting, hard drums, lights, creepy colors, and faces, shooting in wired places,,like forests.. what do mylotters think...is rock music just more demonic in nature that all other music.

I guess it is because of the lyrics content and the sound( distorted guitar sounds ) but I think it's not good to conclude that the rock bands in general are promoting satanism and the likes, most of their subjects are just about love, pain, friendships and just about having fun. All of them do not promote satanism. I think that's the greatest annoying misconception about Rock Music.

let me correct that, NOT all of them promotes satanism etc. Rock music is for those who just wants to have fun. That's it

"fun" or "having fun" that I have mentioned is not about partying. What I meant was "fun" songs. The songs are about everything fun in life. fun or hilarious to hear.

Well for me rock music is not really demonic. It is a form of expression. It expresses the anger, hurt, passion, and frustration of the singers. Sometimes it expresses the rebellious teen spirit. When you're angry you tend to shout to release your tension right? And well if you listen to the lyrics you might be able to even relate to it.

I think you are referring to the new rock songs today. But then there are also rock songs that are about God. Like Bon Jovi's song "Keep the Faith". Anyway, this is a good topic for discussion. Have a nice day.

I think when discussing Rock, we have to qualify what Rock is. Because some folks seem to confuse Rock with Hard Rock, Heavy Rock, Heavy Metal, which to me is simply one form of Rock. This form first saw the light of day in the early 1960s, and its origins were largely the electrified Blues from various urban centres in the US. And it took serious shape in England in the early to mid 1960s. London became a major centre. Many of the British bands who ushered in a harder Rock sound had their origins in the Blues. It was a tough, hard driving music, and it possessed a strong sensual component, unlike Gospel, which was a spiritual music. And when the British Blues bands started infiltrating the Pop charts, many parents looked on with disapproval at the hard music, the sensuality, the long hair, the strange clothes. By the end of the '60s, British Blues started mutating, and the music became even harder, and this was the start of Hard Rock and Heavy Metal. But by this time, Rock had diversified to an incredible degree, incorporating elements from numerous other music forms, such as Classical, Folk, Jazz. While still remaining Rock. Hard Rock on the other hand became a specialist taste, especially on its Metal side. I think it's hard to judge Rock as a whole, but one thing is certain is that rebellion has been part and parcel of Rock from the get go: while not all Rock music is rebellious. And it's certainly not the first art form to include rebellion; far from it. Yet, it could be argued that it's an especially rebellious art. Certainly it's been an extraordinarily influential art. And speaking as a Christian myself: Rock has been pretty alarming at times: it's always sought to shock. And as shocking has become increasingly difficult over the decades, more is needed to shock. It could be argued that it's no longer possible to shock; that our society has become immune: which in itself is alarming. But not all Rock is shocking. There have been always artists operating within Rock who have been relatively benign. Some Christians would insist Christians should not listen to any Rock. But this is a controversial area. As it could be argued that Contemporary Christian Music has been significantly impacted by Rock and Pop. It's all open to debate.

Hi. haqueen. I think that rock music has satanic actions that promote a person to become driven to act out an evil attitude. When a person listens to it, they become wild and fierce and out of control. I have listened to some rock music and some of the music sounds okay. I just don't get caught up into listening to rock music though. Rock music is not my main genre of music that I listen to. Rock music is seen as wild and eerie, and that is why rock music can manipulate people into becoming mesmerized with it. Rock music mainly controls ones minds and feelings.

I thin the louder that music is the more prone it is to have a darer and deeper meaning. If we are unfamiliar with a type of music, it is also easy for fus to judge that music unfairly and throw it into the evil category.

mostly the lyrics are not good. and some of them really implies that their god is satan. as i have heard, when you back-mask those music, satanic messages is revealed. i don't know how true it is, i just heard that some rock singers or artist have sold their soul in exchange of fame...it's never good to listen to them. i also do not recommend that we should listen to such music, except for evaluation purposes as done by our elders. keeping copies of those music or listening to them, as far as i know, it could be strongholds of evil... that's why it's never recommended to keep them especially when you are a believer. just expressing my opinion

I think your rite, some of this rock people are totally sold out to the devil, coz if u see the lyrics they write, they praise demons and gods of darkness in them..though i wouldn't want to be quick to judge. but i feel the same too. THANKS
