quest for happiness

I believe it is every person's dream/plan to be happy. Personally, I tend to buy numerous self-help books to guide me in this life's quest. Tips found in these books often help me during the not-so-happy days. How about you... how do you maintain happiness if your life?

One doesn't need a book to guide him/her to achieve happiness. Happiness can be found if one is contented with what he/she has. And one can be contented if he has simple needs and wants.

But haven't you experienced feeling sad even though there was no reason for the said feeling? I have experienced it and when I read that sometimes, it is hormonal or that some mineral is low or is lacking in the body, I understood.

Or course i have experienced that, because that's one of the natural occurrence in a woman's body and mood. When i feel that way, i fight it. I would eat a chocolate bar. Yes, chocolates gives us a happy mood. Try it when you have that mood.

This is easy. I just keep my friend, love ones, family and relatives close. They are my true happiness. Money and material things can make me happy but they cannot replace the joy i gain when i spend time with people close to my heart.

I also used to read a lot of books which help oneself or motivate us.But I am in agreement with an earlier response which states start the day with exercise.Then look at the bright side of life instead of feeling gloomy.I listen to music,browse the net and get immersed in my work to maintain happiness in life.Tips in the self help books have inspired me when i was down and out.

I maintain happiness in my life by just having fun. It could be together with my friends or family or even just be myself. I find for inspiration (in forms of words, quotes, pictures or anything I encounter during the day) every time I feel bad and sad. I find for motivation from the everyday things that is happening around me. Maintaining happiness is not easy, yet it is also easy to achieve if you put belief and faith in it.

I maintain happiness by thinking of happy memories/thoughts. I make sure that I pray everyday because it is only in God that we can attain true happiness.
