F.C. Porto had an outstanding evolution this season both in the Portuguese League, where they won the tournament unbeaten, and in Europa League where they displayed some truly wonderful attacking football, especially against Spartak Moscow and Villareal, where they were absolutely impressive. For me they are the only team whose evolution was close to that of Barcelona this season. What are in your opinion the elements which explain this fantastic season of the Portuguese giants and can they win the Champions League next season if they keep the coach and the key players of this season?

Yes, I absolutely think that Porto is a great team which is in the first 5-6 teams in the world at this moment. The trainer is very smart and although he is named as the "new Mourinho" I think he is different from him. He is smiling more, his team plays attractive football every game, no matter the importance of the game and he seems more sympathetic than his former head coach. And the quality of the players is very high, they have a strong defense in front with Rolando and Otamendi, with Joao Moutinho and Guarin at the midfield and with two strikers which have sure quality like Falcao and Hulk, although Hulk is way too egoistic, but has wonderful skills. So I think they will have a strong Champions League campaign next year, but I hope that Bayern Munchen will win it.

I would not label them as world class yet. But having gone through an entire season without defeat, this is a great result and if they carry on their good work, they will be a strong force to be reckon with.

Yes,they may not be a world class team yet,but they're not far away either.I've seen some truly entertaining football played by them in the quarter finals and semifinals of Europa League, and the only team who impressed me more this season was Barcelona. Thanks for answering.

I look likes another Porto team on the rise, i really like their manager as well, he strikes such a familiar technique to that of mourinho, i think they will have strong season next season and will get into the champions league quarters/semi finals thats for sure. I wanna see how well they fair against the big teams. I think if they keep Hulk-Falcao partnership they will win the liga and Portugal's domestic cup competition. Hulk plays the grinding strong second striker and Falcao the finisher as proven by today's Europa league success, they do look and feel like a strong side.

Porto have has a really impressive season. The biggest problem they are going to have this summer is keeping their better players. There just is not enough money in the Portuguese league to keep them at the club, and Porto suffer from being a "big fish in a small pond". I can see the big English and Spanish clubs picking the Porto side apart this summer in a transfer frenzy.

It would be really a shame if such a beautiful team were dismembered this summer, and I'm afraid that's exactly what will happen. Thanks for your response.
