Three of the most common health problems that you may experience when traveling are jet lag, altitude sickness, and diarrhea.i have experienced these common travel troubles several times already since i travel frequently. these really cause me discomfort and inconvenience. not to mention delay of trip. One of the pleasures (and perils) of travel is depending on your meals being prepared by someone else, and a pretty unavoidable change in your exercise routine. As always, it helps to plan ahead (and never be without a good pair of walking shoes). the next time i travel i make sure that i can get rid of these problems so i can have a smooth sailing trip.how about you?what are your common travel troubles?

I always get motion sickness when I travel in planes. So I started taking Dramamine on the travel days and it has helped greatly so that I dont have that fuzzy feeling in my head for the rest of the day. I also worry about getting sick from the germs that are re-circulating in the plane the whole time you are on it. they say it is best to drink orange juice or anything with vitamin c. I also do not like the dryness of flying. I like to bing somethinng to spritz on my face. Once I was on an airplane traveling 1st class and they gave a sample size of this hydrating spray to use on your face to re-moisturize. It was great!

Try taking Ginger instead. You can suck a sweet or eat some crystallised ginger.

I wear a pair of ear planes in my ears so I don't experience ear pain on descent and landing. I suffer from sea sickness when I go on a ferry if the sea is rough. This happened to me when I went sailing on a ferry around some islands in Colombia. I got sickness and a fever when I arrived in Malaysia from Indonesia. I fell down a drain in Malaysia and badly injured my leg. I got sore eyes when I was in Israel and I believe it was the dust.

I too travel a lot due to the nature of my job, but all within India, my country. The strange thing is as we have multiple cultures, it is like going to another country every 200 miles. Fever and diahrrea are common, so is travel lag. My defence against these is to eat only fruits during the journey, despite being a diabetic, drinking only safe water, sodas are a strict no, and eating dry and vegetarian food. The fruits provide me with the resistance ower small time infections while their anti oxidant properties generally lessen the strain of travel. Safe water protects me against water brone infection, if I feel the water is not safe I drink tea which is boiled and so relatively safe. Sodas have so much sugar in them that they actually become breeding ground for bacteria once sugar is in the blood stream. So I avoid them. Dry bread called "Roti" in India, it actually roasted/baked on hot coals and is a very safe bet, with boiled and spiced vegetarian curry, again safer than meat. I am a vegetarian anyway. Oily food has its own health issues. These have actually kept me healthy enough for my work, except for occasional mishaps.

Well, the next time you travel it may be wise to bring along your diarrhea tablets, too. That would safe time calling the hotel receptionist and asking for a tablet... Another problem that I had when I travel is counting the local currency.. Often just looked with a blank eyes on the change and had the store keeper to explain once again how much I bought and how much I paid so these much was my change...

i get skin rashes and a cold when i travel from one place to another. I think its because of the change in weather and some air particles that I get allergic too. but they are just minor inconveniences as compared to the fun that I get in my vacation

I remember during my college days. I have a dorm in Manila near in the University. I don't know but I can't really stay on my dorm maybe because of the home sick. I always go back to my hometown every weekend (Friday). It took me about 14-16hours by a small ship. I'll just kiss my mom and dad then slept for a night then takes the trip again on Sunday afternoon going back to Manila. I enjoy a lot hugging my mom and dad. Seeing my hometown makes me feel refreshed. However, I really feel bad on Monday morning because I really feel tired and always have a diarrhea.
