Do you think World War 3 will happen?

With America against Gaddafi in Libya and the recent attacks in Pakistan resulting in the killing of Osama Bin Laden, do you see World War 3, round the corner. I think there is a possibility of it happening soon. If it happens, the world is doomed. Not many countries can afford a war of this scale and it will be difficult for even major super powers like America to survive after a World War.

i don't think so anything happen like this , but this is true that some Pakistan's people are disappointed after killing laden , but i don't think that UNO will let anything happen like this because may be Pakistan is also a member of UNO. they just killed the most wanted terrorist , and now the question is why the most of the terrorist who have been caught are belongs to Pakistan ?

Why was Pakistan shielding Osama? Good question. I do not know who has the answer. Maybe the Pakistan Government should clear its stand.

I really hope there won't be World War 3. it's scary just thinking about it. Why can't people just get along? War won't do any good.

You are right. Look at the Iran - Iraq war or the India-Pakistan wars. They have just caused harm than good.

World War 3 is a war in a brand new level. I really don't like war but somehow it is really inevitable. The devastation scale using nuclear bomb is unimaginable. My grandfather used to tell me stories about the War and I really wished it will not happen in our time. God bless us all.

No. There will not be any world war on this score. Some methodology will be arrived to sort out Libya issue.

And after that there will be a Pakistan issue and then another one and so on. Finally somewhere down the line the issue will not get sorted out and then .....

I think that a World War 3 couldn't be prevented. There's just too much tension that's building up. It might not be soon but, too much tension has been building up. And I do agree that the super powers should not be fighting at this point in time. There's just too much crisis.

Yes the superpowers should exercise restraint. It is in everybody's best interest.

I cannot yet see WWIII looming up, despite all the troubles in the world at present. There are simply too much things at stake to start another worldwide war.

I beg to differ my friend. It takes just one or two irrational decisions to start a war and believe me there are several maniacs out there hungry for power.

hi, amitgune! I hope that would not happen. Wars are not good, it only bring alot of grief to both sides of the camp. In wars, there are no winners..all are losers :(

Agreed. You, me and innumerable others agree. But who shall teach this to a Hitler, a Napolean or an Osama.

Hi there, I hope it will not happen although, I believe it could happen since anything in this world is possible. It is just that I don't see it coming real soon. I don't think that any country in the Middle East or any part of the world can top off the state-of-the art battle equipment of US and Britain. Both countries are known to defend its allies (nation) against terror attack. Since we already have UN council unlike before, War like that of in the past (World War) could be prevented.

I agree with you totally. A war to the scale of a World War could be averted and should be at all cost. But when a maniac like Osama decides to cause harm and does not care about his own safety as well, anything can happen. We have seen that happen. Now, who knows whether there is another person like Osama, somewhere, in say the pakistan military or say anywhere else, who does not care about the outcome but just wants to go ahead with a war. Then the result could be a World War. I hope it never happens but then who knows?

From my point of view, the third "war" world began long ago, and it is economic more than anything else. let us pray that it will not take off, let us pray that those in leadership positions to find enough wisdom to avoid a major armed conflict, because a change will definitely be ...

Thats a wonderful thought. Yes the war has already begun albiet in a different manner. Countries are more concerned about control of oil and other economic factors. Hopefully this does not escalate into an armed conflict.
