My country has a Muslim majority so we're not overly concerned about Camping's predictions. Some of us don't even know the significance of this date.
We know that when the end comes, there will be major signs that will indicate the end is near. As yet, the major signs are not there yet. So we know Camping is just a false prophet.
He's not even a credentialed priest so why do people believe him? His earlier prediction failed. So what makes him think that this prediction would materialize. I think the people who believed him are even foolish than Camping himself.

The truth isd I have no knoeledge thast someone had predicted the rupture day or the dooms day. I must have been very busy and have no time in other things. But I am a firm believer in God and I know I will rejoice instead of fear for this rupture and dooms day cause it is the time when He will return. I would welcome Him with an open arms and just hope I can go with Him in the new heaven and earth.

I thought about it a couple times during the day--mainly because there were discussions about it--but no, I did nothing to prepare because I knew that it wasn't true. When the world ends it won't be because some cult preacher said so. I didn't feel like making fun of it, though, because I felt sorry for the old man, so deluded and filled with delusions of grandeur.

I've studied the scriptures enough to know that no man knows the day or the hour. Only God. The scriptures are so plain about this I can't understand why people believe men when they try to pin it down to a certain day. None of the Christians I know took it seriously just because of this fact.
I think that its taking away from what prophecy REALLY says and causing people great harm as they get immune to hearing it and won't be READY when it REALLY occurs.
I've heard he's postponed it till October. How sad. He's making belief in God look foolish and will be held accountable for the souls who will miss the real thing because he was wrong.

My son told me he read a story online about people that were euthanizing their pets because they didn't want them to be left behind with nobody to take care of them.
It's no wonder that they refer to a congregation as a flock, as in "sheep"...
Simply amazing...

No, I don't know anyone who took the "rapture thing" seriously. I did not even know where it all began. I just read it on my Facebook that it was going to be the end of the worl. It was all non-sense, and my friends and family did not take it seriously.
