In recent years, studying abroad has been popular in our country. More and more middle school students would like to go abroad through mediators. Is it good or bad to study abroad? In my opinion, on one hand ,it has some advantages. Studying abroad can provide better studying conditions. People can make rapid progress in their foreign language study and it can also help widen their field of vision. Meanwhile , young students can learn advanced science and technology from foreign countries and spread cultures of different nations. On the other hand, it has disadvantages. For example, because of the lack of living experience and poor capability to take care of themselves, they may feel lonely and homesick In addition, high living expenses and tuition fees will become a heavy burden upon their parents. So I think whether studying abroad or not should be decided according to oneself and one's family. It is not right to follow others.

You are absolutely right my friend. Studying abroad should be dependent on us. When we are graduated and we look for further studies for higher qualification we have two options either to study in our country from the best education institute or get the education from abroad. Studying in foreign country as you said has many advantages and disadvantages too. But it all depends on us what is our choice. If we want a good Job and higher pay scale we have to sacrifice our home and parents.. But not necessary that studying in foreign will give you a better positions, in your home country also you can get that provided we should work hard for what we should gain from what we want.

Of course! The decision where to study would really depend on the student and the capability of the family. I doubt that it's something done only because of a 'fad' of some sort. (I realize fad might not be the most accurate word to use but I can't think of the most appropriate one. =P ) Studying abroad is such a big undertaking for it to be just a 'fad'. The advantages and disadvantages you mentioned are true. I would just like to add something... while you listed lack of living experience and poor capability to take care of themselves as disadvantages, living abroad can also turn these around into learning experience and the students will develop the ability to live independently and take care of themselves.
