Signs of the Times

The Holy Bible makes it clear that "no man knows" the time of Christ's Second Coming, in fact, it says not even the Son knows, but only The Father.
But Christ did give us "signs of the times". Some are pretty vague like, "wars and rumors of wars", but others seem pretty specific like prophets lying dead in the streets of Jerusalem for 3 days.
There is also the "number of the beast" and how it will become a mark on the foreheads and hands of the people. Without this mark, people won't be able to buy and sell. It seems pretty ominous to me that we live in the first day and age when this could happen.
So, while no one knows when the 2nd coming will be, I'd say there are a few things that need to happen before we should even expect it... although, of course, we should all be prepared.

Israel being in the land is the biggest one I can see.
If Israel was not in the land, nothing else COULD happen.
I heard an interesting teacher today, Perry Stone. He said that time is not only linear, it is cyclic, if you want to know what the future holds prophetically look at what took place historically.
An example of this could be...Matthew 24: 37 as in the days of Noah were, so shall the coming of the son of man be.
You can find him on YouTube. Its videos of his TV show. And since I don't have TV, I looked for him there. A friend here on the Lot turned me on to him.

This teaching is on the bloodline of the antichrist. Can we know who he will be? Not the exact name of a man, but the bloodline is clear in the scriptures.
There's six videos on this teaching and there are many more on prophecy of end times. You may find them useful and interesting.

Totally agree!
Man does not hold the future, only God knows when our time is up here on earth. But it is written that it will imminently come.
Thus we need to be ready always. As sons and daughters of God, it is our duty to call upon all and help each other prepare for that day.

It depends on whether those marks of the Beast are invisible, that is, the attitude, or if they are visible and given to those who worship the beast and the false prophet. Then there has to be the Anti Christ or the one that decides who cannot buy or sell aand we do not know how long there period of persecution will be except it would not be too long. We do have the times of storms and disasters but these are the beginnings of the times. It does not mean that these horrible tornadoes and earthquakes means that a year or so from now that the end will come. And there is a reason that Christ did not tell us the exact day or hour. People might do what Christ wants them to do out of an outward show and not for real.
I think there were times when it was assumed the world would then, but at that time the gospel had not been preached all over the world and when all the elect have been brought out, then the end will come.

Growing up and going to church alot and going to a christian school (I went to a Lutheran school), I heard this all the time! No human knows when the world will end! Unforunetly there are people who believe they do know and con other people to believe in them! I also remember that with all the wars and rumor of wars are a sign are the begining of the end of the world. Of course Revelations was brought up with what you just wrote. Like must religions they drilled it in me and it has always scared me and I try to put it in the back in my mind! The unknown has always scared me and I would love to thank my father,my teachers and pastors for drilling it into my mind while growing up! Thanks for screwing me up,you jerks!

I do believe the given signs of the second coming of Christ is all around us, however, I don't worry about when that day will happen, I just try to live my life according to the scriptures; no one is perfect so the best I can do is what I do. No, we don't know the day nor the hour, but for those who do believe in the second coming of Christ just continue to be watchful and could continue to live according to God's laws; everything will be alright.

For me yes the holy bible is the way of knowing the truth by God and tell who is he because to know god is the way we save in his time of Armageddon.

Hi Ted! The signs of the times or end of the world has been a topic in church lately. There were rumors that the world will start to crumble which started yesterday till June10. I wonder where they get all these dates. Some gets paranoid while some just laugh it off because no one really knows. And right you are, we should all be prepared.
