How about a 'reference' field for discussions ?

Hey everyone, I'm new to mylot and I've been thinking that new discussions must have another field (apart from discussion interest, subject and details). There must be a reference field to quote a reference or source, especially when the discussion is about some face or a techie discussion, and when more insight is needed into it. This idea can even be extended to discussion responders who answer to discussions, as they may provide you with information from third party websites, without stealing their content. I think this will help improve the site in more ways than one as the ones who post spam links too can be easily caught. Please gimme your opinion on it!

I have seen responses that you have left elsewhere and you seem to have misunderstood. Links are ENCOURAGED in discussions here. It is only referral links/links promoting articles/blogs etc that are not allowed. The 5th button from the top in the Guidelines makes it clear: http://www.mylot.com/o/guidelines.aspx

Oh. That's cool. I guess I was dumb not to read it! Yet, I feel that a separate reference field is needed, just for the better structuring of a discussion. You know, it'll be a lot appealing and organized that way. What do you say ?

When making a suggestion it would also be nice if the method is also explained as it may entail a lot of work for myLot to implement your suggestion. How would you go about this.May be you would like to give an example!
