Hello there, oDesk is certainly a legal and legit website offering opportunities to freelancers. But the competition to get the jobs on there is hard. Ofcause it is also depending on what type of jobs which you are applying to get. But basically the best way of getting a job on there is to offer the most qualities for the lowest price. What type of job are you searching on oDesk?

I think there is a large competition in there, have you also considered article writing? if you have a good english and can do some background research first, most can be found on the Internet, then I belive you can expand your job opportunities.

I usually send application in Data Entry. Because i think that's the easiest job i can do online.

I have joined Odesk.com last month. And have tried to apply for a job, but without any answers. Now i know to get a job, we must take some tests and if the employer is interested with us, he or she will let us have an interview. Then we will have the opportunity to do the job.

I already took the odesk readiness test and got a passing grade, now odesk gave me 20 job applications, meaning more chances to send application in different jobs that i think suits for me. I also took English Skills Test, and I passed too. But still I am waiting to get hired from my previous applications I have sent.

Odesk.com is good site. But it takes lot of time to approval of our biodata. Mean time you try freelancer.com where join is free. For freelancer you have put your bet for a specific job mostly dataentry short stories and blog writing. It is good and pay you immiadiatly if you code some little bet. rambabu12

You need to apply for a specific job. Until I don't have a job there but I already recieved 2 invitations for interview but it's to me if I'm willing to apply to the said job offer. You need to take the odesk ready test they required. Just choose the subject you want and pass the test. That's all for now. Just set one day and explore yourself in odesk.

Yes I have tried and since I joined I haven't been hired although I have applied for many jobs. It's hard to compete with many people applying there.

Yes you're right, sometime i think of that also. Lots of people competing in that site and i lose hope, thinking they're better that me.
