Hey, I wrote about 30% of my book, its more like a jurnal type, but its retrospective, but the writing will look like it takes place in that present. Don't worry it isn't in english :-s I don't have much problems with the writing, but something is bugging me and keeps me from writing it. My father "tried" to be a writer, had/has many books published (i know its a bad thing to say, but he is rubbish, and he writes only to write, and his point is to have lots of books written by him, but nothing worth reading!) Sold about 1 book, invested atleast 3,000$+ (thats much considering I work for 300$/m) My mom is tring to make a song record (album) a religious one, but she is also rubbish. With my brother who has a home-studio and they both think they are extremly good at what they do (they didn't make any money, ever) My girlfriend and most of the people who I gave the 40pg. written until now, said about it that its funny and has potential. But probably thats how most of my family ended up doing something rubbish and think they are great without having any sucess. I'm afraid that I rather prefer to be a nobody, than a failed nobody like the rest of my family. And I think thats what keeps me from writing, seeing my family going to something similar. What do u think?

It does seem like you have had some good reviews. It could certainly be worth while to send it to some literary agents, and to some publishers who will accept unsolicited manuscripts. Do some research into their submissions before doing anything. But it's certainly worth while to try. It may also be worth while to maybe have a few other friends read it, if you're still unsure as to whether you want it published it just yet. Either way, you really never know what could happen.

If you're not sure of the quality of your work, why not send it to genuine publishers who pay for books. If you ask a friend, or someone who charges you to have your book published, of course they'll say it's good. But if a real publisher invests money to publish your work, you can be confident in your skills.
