A continent of dreams called mylot.

The goldan rays of a falling sun paint the pillars of an ancient temple in India while the rolling winds push swirls of sand through the chasms of the grand canyon. Elsewhere someone logs into mylot while the laylines of the ancient native australians cut through their house filling it with the energy of the earth. In Europe a fair Italian maiden turns her thoughts to the friendships she has made on mylot as the breaking dawn wakens the grapes bursting with juice on the vine. My thirst for travel has been reawakened with a vengence as i read of peoples experiences on mylot. i can almost feel the cold melting snow of Canada in my fist and the sweet aroma of coffee as i pass a diner in Manhatten. Am i the only one who loses themself in a mini atlas in my head when on mylot?

How do I describe it, hmm while on myLot I feel that I am traveling all over the word in a few hours. I also feel that MANY welcome me in their homes daily. They share their triumphs, experiences, loves and hearts with me. Therefore, each day I open my home as well to all. I have one Indian myLotter visiting here later this year for which I will be showing our big city too. There is another who someday plans to visit her sister, errrm and me too. You are not the only one because my heart, thoughts and mind is completely with so many in myLot!

I can hobble around on my walker but still have a fairly sore right knee lo.I would love to meet any o f you or all of you and hardworkinggurl You brought tears to my eyes and warmth to my heart when I talked to you on the phone. Even the old geezer who had been sitting in the chair by that phone got up and was very cour tly to me hehe me 84 going on 85. He kept saying dont rush pretty lady,oh you have a phone call, here let me get out of your way. and me in nightie and bathrobe and wet hair from a shower. Yes ajk winning the lottery would really help as we could all do some traveling then. lol lol.

Indeed you are not the only one! I have made so many friends here and immediately when I log on at breakfast time my thoughts go to my friends from India and the Philippines who ae already here, while most of my US friends are sound asleep. My dreams go outside the Lot and further on in years to the day when I will be retired and how wonderful it would be to travel the continents and shake hands with as many of my Lotting friends as possible Who is the 'fair Italian maiden' as I would love to add her too?

What a brilliant idea! Many know that I don't use my myLot earnings but instead I am saving for the trip that I will, one day, make to US to visit my sister. If myLot put them somewhere as you suggest then that would see my adhesion! Your imagination? That would explain why she is fair, as most Italian maidens are dark

that sounds great, saving to visit your sister. hope it happens soon for you. most Italians are dark? my favorite colour!

i think for those that want to, we should be able to opt out of the payment mylot gives and instead enrol in a payment scheme that acumulates our earnings which would go towards paying for those in the group to meet at some kind of prearranged destination. The fair maiden? perhaps she is a figment of my imagination?

myLot is like my first virtual home ... I've always pictured the lot as a big , giant cafe. Isn't it fascinating how people all over the world can connect with one another ... it's just great. I would love to shake hands with the owner of myLot , who might buy coffee from Starbucks anonymously and be free from public eyes , haha.

I wonder too. It is 4.30 p.m. here in India which would mean early morning in the US, while Europe still sleeps and Australia would be getting ready to hit the pillow and in the midst of all these time zones here we are as one community getting to understand each other as though there is no difference between religion or race. Long live myLot.

Exactly. mylot is like one universal continent which seems to do a better job of keeping the peace than the UN!

For me at MyLot - There is no Atlas. MyLot is my extended family and I am happy that I am a part of this global world - a window or a place where there are no barriers, just the shades of Love, Friendship, and a load of healthy things... Arguments, discussions, disagreements all make my family stronger and well knit. At last there is some place where there are not much differences and we are all what we are - humans integrated into bonds of friendship, togetherness...

would it not be wonderful if all our countries could take a page out of how we get along here with all our mylot friends from all over the world would finally be really peaceful. We do not judge each other by our country or color of our skins but what we say, who we are, and that is all of us are human beings. It is indeed a healthier world.

yes, a place with no political or religious boundries. where you are judged not by what you look like but by what you say. a world without bookcovers is a healthier world indeed.

Well said, thesids, ajk111, and Hatley! It is about time people were judged by what comes out of their minds in the form of writing and not by what nature has or has not blessed them with in the looks department! The good people of our fabulous Planet Earth are coming together despite all the man-made barriers that are trying to prevent us from learning about each other and communicating freely without censure. Mylot is a terrific forum for the world!

I don't know how can I describe myLot-for-me. It's sort of a soothing world where I can just rest And when I need it most (that's now!) it seems so far! Quite true. Sun never goes down in the empire of myLot! Now, I didn't ever have that thirst to be a globetrotter but maybe one day.... waiting for that effect

hi ajk how poetic is your discussion and I too have thought of the many places that I have friends from and how one mylotter is always telling me to come to Thailand as its so beautiful and I envision the country and the sea and envy this person their home then I look outside and see the lovely Jacaranda trees in bloom on Dawson street. I talk to an elderly couple of Vietnamese people out for a walk on Dawson as we are in the middle of Little Saigon right smack in the middle of Garden Grove California. these were boat people who fled Vietnam during the last horrible war. they settled here in Southern California as they loved the climate. they make very pleasant neighbors here. When some my lotter from Sweden responds to me I envison water and snow and ice bergs and very friendly people too.Scotland and bagpipe and kilts from my Scottish friends, and from Malaysia I see tropical paradise and my Filipino friends make nme think of palm trees and tropical fruits and tropical weather.

the mind is a great thing for giving us hope and beauty. Vietnam is high on my list to visit, it seems such a stunning country with a unique culture. i envy you the multi cukture you have around you. it makes ones life a more colourful place to live. where i live we can only say we are multi cultural if you include sheep!

That got me thinking! I think I also feel lost in a mini atlas. I can imagine myself, cowering in fear because of the heavy rain and thunder but still feeling great , typing a response to this discussion while you read this smelling the sweet aroma of coffee as you pass a diner in Manhatten, again. Wow! It feels really great. For now, I'm thanking technology.
