Tricky question by girlfriend?

I have a friend who has a girlfriend who takes a break (for 2-3w) out of town/from him. Theoretically not a break from their relationship, just from work (she lost her job) after a fight with HIS step mom who is boss. And she asked him: "If your parent’s invites you to a dinner and u go and they also invited a girl at the same age as u, what will you do?" And he said: "Eat the free dinner." And then she said something like "ok, then I'll put my mom to hook me up some men for dinners" lol What would u say in this situation or what would u do? And what u thinks about her replay?
