Hi Rashima, I believe this is mainly to avoid spams. Facebook doesnot allow to add more friends. So it limits and protects our FB account for security reasons.Cheers!

It's considered spam. I was talking to a friend through Facebook inbox constantly (she didn't have unlimited texting and you can't use Facebook chat though cellphones) and I was blocked from sending messages for 3 days because I sent to many to her in one day.

Hi there, The way I understood it is that way too many were randomly adding large amounts to sign up to such games like mafia wars, etc.. Due to the large complaints they find that adding way to many in one sitting is considered spam. So they put the suspension, so to speak as warnings. I do know many who have gone through 2 - 3 suspensions and then eventually got completely banned.
