What do you usually wear during job interview?

What are you applying for? Are you always wearing business attire? Or you are type of person who would want to wear smart casual during job interviews? How much do you really have to be presentable as possible? I used to wear the simple blouse with collar and slacks then sandals. But eventually I am just wearing shirt with collar or a blouse that may look smart casual with slacks since I am applying for graphic artist. Usually they are not particular in formalities. I have seen some applicants that are just wearing jeans and shirt during job interviews but it was not been questionable since they are applying as artist.

I applied for various positions, though nothing that required business attire. For the majority of my interviews (which wasn't many), I went casual. A simple shirt or sweater, a pair of jeans, and some black shoes. Though for my last two interviews I dressed up a bit more. I wore a really nice black shirt, black slacks, and the same black shoes. I even wore some lipstick! LOL I have to say I felt a little overdressed for my last interview as the job deals with a lot of cleaning. But I wanted to be as presentable as possible as I found out it's important to dress for success...no matter how dirty the job is! LOL Happy mylotting!

Dear friend, I feel the selection depends entirely on the interview boards decisions. Anyhow I feel they may also need some one who is better to communicate and talented. But at times talent is not shown in dress it is in the output that artist give. I hope if one dress well if the interview board like it it is another talent. Making oneself look better even with casuals depends upon how talented that person in that way. Anyhow wish you all the best
