How much do you prepare yourself in special occasions?

It can be the special even and occasions of your own and your family, relatives and friends? If the occasion is on your own such as birthday parties, wedding, baptismal of your kid, and so on do you tend to make over yourself like for example going to salon, going to dermatologist or going to skin care, or even having a membership in any fitness center. While in the occasions of others, do you bother to buy new clothes and make over as well when the event is approaching?

i think it depends on what occassions . every female like to be pretty in the patry or important occasions . we all enjoy everybody focus on us in the party ,we love it .but in the same time we should think about who is the protagonist in this occasion . we should not take the luster from him / her . this is kinds of respect.ha .

Well, it really depends on the occasion. When it's a special affair in which i will be visibly seen because i will be participating, i will prepare for it. I will buy a clothing and shoes that matches the theme of the occasion and have myself made up in a salon perhaps, or maybe just do some prepping up of my hair and face by myself. But if they are only simple gathering such as a family member's birthday party, i would wear my best casual wear. That way, i could move freely and associate with everybody well.

I agree. But I must say that I'm complexed on this matter. Although I love the outcome when all is done, I hate the prep itself. Going through the closet to find that you haven't shopped for new clothes in a decade, lol. Do you even have the funds to finance this mini shopping spree and is it even worth the effort? Sometimes I wonder...

Personally for me, I would have to say it depends on the occassion and what type of funding and planning is required. I know there can be things that do require a lot more time and money and planning while other things just need to find a place and choose a date. In either case you have to decide who you want to invite, type of party you are planning, etc. from there.

Depends on the occasion and the venue. If it's a very formal event, I usually spend more to buy new clothes, shoes, makeup. If the party is with friends and family, I would rather wear something that I already have. Sometimes, I have my clothes altered to have an updated look.

Well, the only thing I do in all occasions is pick out my clothes. I don't bother buying new clothes because I have so much clothes that it's dumb to buy new ones to only wear for one night. The only time I bought a new outfit in my entire life was for Prom.

I will definitely be going to the salon to have my hair done accordingly and appropriately then I will choose the best suit to wear if I have nothing suitable in my wardrobe for the occasion then I will choose to buy something in the mall, this will be done some two weeks to three weeks earlier to make sure I have the best to wear. My hubby will prefer not to indulge himself in the hassles as he calls it. So alone I will make the preparations. This week is the birthday of his uncle so we are invited I told him I got to buy a new dress he did not say anything so I understood I got to buy it myself. He says he is just the driver.

If i will be hosting that event,i will surely try my best to "shine",it's my party anyway. But if i am just invited to any occasion,i will also make some preparations, but not that grand. have a great weekend

Hi metatronik: Well, if I am the center of attention I'll buy new clothes and stuff for this date but in case not, I will just try to look elegant and look good for the situation. Being a lawyer I need to look good for my job so same applies here, I have the required clothes for one of these days. ALVARO
