A Million To One Odds. :)

A strange thing just happened to me. First, a little background. Some months ago, I downloaded the tunein radio app for iPhone, an app that allows me to listen to stations from anywhere in the world, and also to record clips to my iPhone. As well as listening to local stations, I listen to stations in countries around the world I'd like to visit, regardless of whether or not I understand the language. Tonight while playing with my phone, I decided to tune into a station from Malta. First I listened to a few minutes of talk. I don't understand a word of Maltese, I'm just interested in how different languages sound. Then out of nowhere, I heard, on that very station, Bonnie Tyler singing "Total Eclipse Of The Heart," in English of course. I found this to be rather interesting, since this is one of my husband's favourite songs. What are the odds, I'd tune into a station thousands of miles away, and hear a favourite song, that is not among today's top 40? :) An interesting thing about this particular app is that I can start it recording from the moment I tuned in, not just from the beginning of the song. I decided to record the clip, along with a bit of the talk before and after. The station also shows up on my screen, for additional proof of my good luck. LOL Now I can play this little psychic miracle for my husband in the morning, when he wakes up. :)

I have had some unexpected and amazing things (coincidences?) happen to me. When this happens I feel very happy. IMO this is a sign that your husband is watching over you and that is a sign he still care about you.

in 1968 my family went to Europe and the last place we went was Paris... I remember hearing the Beatles on the radio - in English needless to say, that was pretty nice actually

That is so cool....and very intersting. I just got a bunch of music from Norway...since my family comes from there...it's not via the radio...but on a cd.

Hello danish. Well here is a link to one of the radio stations here in Romania: Gold FM Romania for iPhone or iPod http://live.goldfmromania.ro It is kind of an oldies channel, having songs from the 50's up to the 90 with some occasional more recent songs, and it is my favourite (because i love older music too). As for romanian language, you won't get much, it has a news bulletin of 3 minutes every hour, for convenience.

The song does still get quite a bit of airplay on American radio stations, but I am a bit surprised that a Maltese radio station was playing it. Good song.

Hi danishcanadian, why don't you listen Hindi songs? Old Hindi songs are melodious and modern Hindi songs are fast and rhythmic. I'm sure you will like Hindi songs. Give surprise to your husband by recording Hindi songs.
