It seemed like Japan is running out of ideas for making new anime, some companies decided to make anime remakes and adaptations of American cartoons. from powerpuff girls, to transformers and X-men, American stuff are having the Japanese treatment. What American cartoon will to like to see to have an anime remake? from what I heard Thundercats have an anime remake in the works . On the other hand, when Americans do remakes of Japanese stuff, the results kinda suck.

Looking forward to the thundercats japanification if there is one in the works. Personally, I want to see what they make of Kim Possible and perhaps the Justice Leage and JLU.

But she is...technically still going to (high)school. So it wouldn't matter right?

well she doesn't wear school uniforms though, so if she got japanised she will wear uniforms , I know in Us, only private and catholic schools have uniforms .

They were able to work X-men, so I wont mind justice league, but madhouse should be the company to do it because they were able to do Ironman really well. Kimpossible might turn into a schoolgirl if she got translated for japan because she is a teen.

Nah.. I don't think it's because of lack of ideas.. it's more of a business move.. the recent ones (X-Men, Wolverine and etc) are a collaboration between Marvel Comics and Japanese studio MADHOUSE. I think the Japanese hope to break into the US market. There are many manga which I hope and am still waiting for them to make an anime adaptation. Given the no. of interesting manga they have, there's no way that they are running out of ideas..

Nah... I grew up watching Captain Planet, Superman and etc.. I think they are completely fine in their own style. Cartoon has its own distinct style.. I very much prefer anime but I don't think that all the animations in the world should be changed to anime style.

Yamcha - one of teh least best in DBZ
I don't them using Superman to turn into an anime. i haven't seen superman in his blue or red costume cosmos (i think) but that would have been better if they come to use him adding anime fighting style. now that would have been really cool indeed.

I'm curious as to what Dexter's Laboratory would look like anime style. As to Thundercats... Really?? Wonder what would Mum rah be like. Sometimes I don't like remakes because there would be added twists to the story. Atmosphere, setting and even the characters tend to change because Japanese have their own way of animation.

dexter's laboratory.... I think DeeDee will fit as an -Anime character because she's already acting like one though she looks like cartoon character. The only advantage of an -Anime remake is that the characters will look prettier. Since American cartoons usually have ugly characters. The thunder cats -Anime already have a trailer. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=deO9zpQAjIQ

I just watched it and I am impressed, I love the way they portray the characters the Japanese way, its also a more serious style which i liked.

Wow! From the trailer, I think this a prequel from the cartoon since the father and his kind are still alive. Guess it's a completely different story.

Ah... I see. There is no choice but to adapt. Maybe for temporary or just to have time thinking thats why they adapt specially in american cartoon. Thats very frustrating for them. Very headaching xD

I can imagine all of them anime style, I think Ben 10 will Have an easy transition because it's already anime influenced.I think Johnny bravo is going to have lots of fan service if its anime style,I can see danny phantom to be darker and but more campy. He will scream his attacks and techniques

Yup! Ben ten will be easy to me remade as anime and Danny Phantom will be great in anime. I think it would be a lot more serious if it made into an anime, Can't wait to see a lot darker Danny Phantom.

I just realized that the art style of Benjamin 10 halves similarities with anime style of art work. Johnny bravo might end up as Ecchi.

None. I prefer to have my favorite old cartoons preserved the way they are. The Japanese should just continue making new animes.

You don't want the classics to be to be touched and change for another culture. From the anime remakes by far x-men is the only one I enjoyed. Because they they'll let the characters stick with their roots

I would have been surprised if Thundercats didn't end up with anime treatment considering the original was an anime. A lot of people didn't realize that many of their beloved cartoons in the 80's and 90's were created with anime visual stylings simply because they lacked oversized eyes, tiny mouths, and almost no nose. Many of the most popular animated shows of the 80's were created by Japanese sub-contracted companies. As for cartoons I'd like to see given the anime Treatment.. bring back Captain N the VideoGame Master. That show was never allowed to be the awesomesauce and win that it deserved due to the way the company that owned the rights at the time wanted it to be for small children.

I already forgotten about captain N but you just bought something in my memory that has been replaced comes back. Its like the first crossover cartoon I watched. Megaman is very ugly on that show and has a manly voice. (usually in videogames Megaman is dubbed by either women and boyish actors)I remember mother brain.....

Hello Captainalbert, Maybe Akira Toriyama should have considered having his animators and producers create an alternate reality for dragon ball z. there was not much attention given to Tien, Yamcha and Krillin, not to mention Chaozu didn't have that much fighting over the last few seasons in the DBZ. it's always Goku, Vegeta, even gohans character got screwed in the end

I think I get what he means, he wanted anime to stick with their classics and create new ones, rather than trying to adapt western stuff. He seemed not to be happy with dragon ball because characters the neglected

Martin Mystery. I used to love thsi show, and since it was orignally done in a similar style to anime (but was produced in europe i believe) i would like to see how the japanese would alter it. birdie -

I remember that cartoon the characters seem to have the same art style with totally spies( i have a feeling they share a studio). The first time I saw it I thought it's an anime because they have big eyes

Nothing, I hated the Japanese Powerpuff girls version- at first it was cute, but then i just didn't like it at all, it was supposed to be funny but the ppg didn't need to grow up. Lucky I didn't see the Jap version o Xmen. The Japanese should just get ideas from the US, not just remake it..

The Japanese version of x-men actually have good reviews but no one with powerpuff girls really have negative reviews because the turn them into sailor Moon knockoffs. In the x-men an inmate the characters were loyal to their original counterparts, this story is about the x-men members going to Japan to rescue a Japanese girl In the main cannon story line that Japanese will is already an official member. So basically this anime a version is just a back story for her.
