Freelancer a good earner or a scam?

Hi Good day guys, Are you familiar of freelancer.com site? it's promise a good job as well a good earning. Did you try to work this site? I hoping to get some info before I try it. thanks and God Bless

I did try freelancer. But I am pretty sure it's a scam. The good thing is I got a regular client I write for a lot from the site. They want me to pay them like 5 bucks for each "job" but then two of the jobs I bid for even accepted me but then it all fell through. The client I obtained simply bypassed freelancer and now I work for them regularly. I am pretty sure it's more scam than legit.
