In this series of discussions I am going to talk about various ways to do push ups. In each discussion I am going to give 3 to 4 different ways to do push ups that work a variety of the muscles in the upper body. With this first discussion we are going to talk about the regular push up, close hand push ups and wide hand push ups. These are the most basic of all push ups. Push ups are exercises that you do with your own body weight. They are good for build muscle strength and muscle tone. As well push ups can be done everyday. Now when you do these push ups you should start off with two sets of 10 - 20 reps. Now lets start off with describing the first of the three push ups in this discussion. For the regular push up start off on your hands and the balls of your feet. Make sure that your hands are directly underneath your shoulders now what you do is breath in while you lower your self down until your nose touches the floor. Then while breathing in raise your body back up to the beginning position. This push up exercise works the chest, shoulders and the arms. Now for our next push up we are going to talk about the close hand push up. Now with this push up you start off in the same position but this time your hands are close together about 4-5 inches apart. Now once again while breathing in lower your self until your nose touches the ground and then while breathing out raise your body back up to the starting position. This exercise works the inner chest, the triceps and the shoulders. Now on to our last type of push up for this discussion. This one is the wide arm push ups. Now you start off in the same position as with the other two push ups except you put your arms further than shoulder width apart. Now as you breath in you lower your body until your nose touches the ground and then while breathing out you raise your body to you reach the beginning position. This push up works the outer part of the chest the arms and the shoulders. That is all that I have to say for this discussion until my next discussion.

great tips here nerein.
often times people who exercise neglect the benefits of the simple push-up. rather than go to a gym and use those expensive, complicated exercise machines, doing push-ups is, for me, one of the more effective exercises, aside from running/jogging, walking, and the 's' word (not that 's' word...wait for it, swimming!!!). you use your own body weight and can basically do it anywhere. i find myself doing push-ups in my desk all throughout my day in the office. aside from the simple push-ups, one can do a variety to exercise the other body parts.
looking forward to your coming posts nerein!
cheers!!!
