How do you deal with people who are into BAD RUMORS?

In Filipino term how do you deal with people that are CHISMOSA! (person who is fond of making intrigues) [b]How do you ignore them? What are the things that they have been rumoring about you? Are they asking something in front of you which is very offensive? Isn't that there are some people who are like that? To the extent that they are crossing the line that they intend to insult you as a person? Do you think they are happy of ruining other people's lives? What are the instances that it affects you like for example because of the rumor your whole family are fighting to each other? Did you confront them? [/b] We have a neighbor here that is actually our common family friend that she really make rumors against the other people including us as well. Sometimes it affects us that other people are asking my parents of something already. Though since she was the family friend then my parents have chosen to behave about her. But she asked my father something about me that is crossing the line already which pisses me off. My mother have told me regarding her statements. I've talked to my boyfriend that how much I was really pissed off because it is something that can ruin the whole family. It is really personal already. Yes! I could ignore some people that are CHISMOSA because I totally understand their frustration for being a lowlife people. But this one it makes me angry already for being too personal. So my decision is not to talk with her and good thing I haven't seen her for now. I just hope my parents will understand that I don't want to mingle with her already because SHE IS NON SENSE AT ALL!
