For the ladies, do you feel flattered if a man whistles at you while you are walking around? Do you feel good about it or do you feel like you are disrespected? And for the guys, what does it really mean to you if you whistle to a lady?

I will be angry and not feel been flattered at all. I think it is a way of disrespecting.

How I wish some gentlemen here will read these thoughts here and somewhat respond and share their thoughts as well.

As a lady I do not feel flattered when someone whistles at me. I find it downgrading. I am not a dog. I do not need whistled at and I never found myself to be much to look at. I find it downgrading and disrespectful.

well, it's just normal to feel that way. We have different thoughts and it's ok to feel that way..

It is rude if a guy whistle on me. I would never like it. If it is a way for him/them to admire me then I think it is time for him/them to think of a creative way to flatter me and not just a whistle.

yes you're right. There are many simple ways to show your appreciation to a lady. Why just whistle..

hello, I feel really disrespected when other guys whistle me when I am passing by. I am not just comfortable of this kind of action because i dont really know what does the guy means when they are whistling. Did they want to introduce there self or just want me to notice them?. Then why they act rudely.

Well, some women might consider it as flattering but there are also some who will see it as a rude way of appreciating. And also, we don't know what their whistling means. Is it just appreciating women or disrespecting women. well we don't really know since we are not one of them.

I thik all women should be flattered when guys/men whistle. Why be a snob no matter what the men look like...just smile or wave or ignore and move on :) Be nice..they aren't hurting anyone. :)

A few years ago i dare say that I would have had a few wolf whistles but as the years have passed this doesnt happen anymore! i always took it in good spirit, after all it is good to be admired sometimes!
