yeah i do facebook a lot but not to post status, not to post pictures - do post pics but only of my family not just of myself, i am not that self conceited. Anyways i just deleted it now because: i had enough of seeing of people who post too much status updates that are worthless or even unnecessary. i had enough of jealousy - my huby most, i unknowingly do not know he is following me too much and was jealous of it. crazy! i do not even do anything! but i am keeping cool, the last straw if is he would try to open my mylot. well, i deleted it and wont be going back there. i will be here a lot more

Good to you that it help you a lot in your problem. I have FB but I seldom visit it. It helps just a bit to save in time and effort. I not totally quit it but I limit only the visit. The reason that I joined facebook is because of the application and games. Its really fun for me at start thats why I hooked using facebook.

Talk to your hubby about it, friend. My wife have a facebook and I don't even open it even if I know her password. Because I respect her on that matter. I trust her that nothing on there that makes me jealous... I want her to enjoy facebook. Because I know it is the place she can communicate with her old friends... Nothing wrong in facebook unless you know. You didn't do anything against your partner...

Well, that is your decision. I think you right...because our fb has many friends that chatted us. We need to answer for them...which this is a consumable time for us doing any online jobs we have

Right! Why waste time there when you can earn and have fun here! I still have mine and still go there for updates but, I'm not as addicted as I used to be. And the games? They caused me a lot of trouble at the office because I couldn't concentrate on my tasks because I kept thinking of 'I need to harvest my crops now!'

hahahaha! i have an officemate who also got sooo addicted to farmville before that he do not like to leave the office whenever we have field work because that would mean he would not be able to "harvest" and it will die hhaha that was quite hilarious but i never did got addicted to farmville, i found it boring and the sound was annoying but i did play cityville and also poker that i could not get rid of it! but i knew i had to stop because i also cannot concentrate with work

Oh, it wasn't just Farmville. I think I played 7 different games so that while waiting for the spoils in other games, I'd be playing in another. And I was really hooked. Thankfully, I'm over all of it now.

I also have an FB account, but it's mainly to be able to see the pictures of my selected friends. But i don't post any picture there, not even of my family. But correct me if i am wrong, what i can notice with facebook though , is that, it seems to be an avenue of posting pictures that seems to brag of the places they went to. I even see some post their ire to their enemies! OMG! I don't want to be with FB either. It's good my husband isn't into internet.

Makes me even think that they took the picture just to brag, not as to have a souvenir of the event or the place.

Yes but i think it is unlikely it will shutdown because the founder is getting richer by the minute! Posting and sharing pictures of loved ones that are far is one benefits of facebook..but then on my part.. i can do a bit of sacrifice How are you bunny? hope no more pain for you and you have someone looking after you. Take care

So you deleted your fb account due to your hubby's jealousy? That's too sad my friend...thu i am not that active in fb,i just keep it open so whenever a friend wants to chat, then i can talk with. It's a nice social site to communicate with friends and family. But if it's for your peace..then let it be...just enjoy mylotting

Yes i was thinking of how to communicate with them again but since i have their ym then i could still inform them about it.. anyway i had to do it because his jealousy do get into my nerves and just to shut him up, i will sacrifice that. I do not know if he already knows it since i know he did not open his facebook yet..anyways it was for the best

Congratulations! I think we need more and more people like yourself. The ones that have the resolve to wean themselves out of this unnecessary addiction. I'm sure you'll find out that life will go on as normal even without facebook. Even without the unnecessary updates of people. Hopefully I get there soon too!

To each their own I supose. No one can force you to stay on a social networking website, but also don't be so quick to point fingers at those who do like and use facebook. Not everyone is going to use it the way you did. Just about every social networking website out there has a "status" option. And, no where you go people are likely to post something utterly annoying/rediculous. Unless you find it offencive, I say take it with a grain of salt. As for your feelings about your husband fallowing your online activity, I suggest takeing it up with him. If you have any feelings that would cause concern, take it up with the person you're having the problem with. Should you ignore it, he could do it with anything you do e-mail, and/or other sites you use for personal/business use.

yes i believe so. using such social sites entails personal responsibility but then i also believe we should also be aware of our actions right? oh well to each his own still. Nah i do not like taking it up on him because it would further create problems but i already settled it and things are better now.

Well I can see why you quit facebook at times I feel like doing that, but I know that I can't do that because I have to stay on there to be able to keep in touch with everybody. That's the only way that I can connect because I don't have a cellphone because I don't have a job so that is my only option at the moment. Still the way that I do it is that I only go on facebook like once a week so that I won't get tired of it or tired of the drama that is the only way that I have found it easy for me. So I understand why you left facebook because you could not take it anymore, so it's not a bad thing especially if your hubby was getting jealous than that was a really good reason. So happy mylotting.

i did delete my FB as well because of all the bragging of some of our family members especially our newly rich relatives on how rich they are. they are showing off every parties, every events and every travels they have. its not that you are envious, but these people boasts a lot. most of the time, its vanity and it is not necessary at all. FB is a social site but it also brags your social status unlike before that it is strictly for friendship purposes. i had enough with FB since its intention as of now is not that good. besides, i dont see any positive purpose in using FB right now except for making its founder richer.

hi I got interested in this post, that people do not like FB because it becomes an avenue to boast or brag about themselves. I think that is what FB is all about, for you to feel proud of yourself while others envy you. I don't use my account that much for that very reason. It is too intimidating and If I can't level up with their lifestyle and all their photos out there, I feel low about myself so better not to see all the sides of their lives. Its only good because you get updated with others affairs

There are really people who are fond of doing that, posting where they are and who they are with and what they are doing. Actually i was guilty of doign that but not too much.. I have read an article that it was wrong and not safe because it will allow some identity thieves to get to know you and you are more likely a candidate for them! pretty scary.

I've never really been fully commited to facebook. I dont trust it and in my opinion it has called a lot of relationship problems. Yes it has it's benefits but its too big brotherish for me. My private life is private thats why it is called private life.It should be called wastebook the amount of time people waste on it.

Good for you Jaz,i suppose you have your own reasons for quitting FB. I am also a member of FB but hardly ever use it or access it. I am in it only because i come to know on which day my friends birthday is as i tend to forget them and then i feel bad when i don`t wish them.I am not very social especially on the net,so i don`t find much use for FB.Cheers.

Hello Jazel, Awww. why? i hope you aren't getting bored with my updates now don't you? i rarely update there. i think you being too pretty even with three kids is something he surely needs to freak himself about. well, i hope he's not chasing you here in mylot since no one seems to be flirting you here. i won't delete mine because i still got few friends and not to mention we have the mylot group there. Have a nice day

Yes i feel better now and no you do not bore me Letran, i was even stalking you hahaha kidding. Let's just see where the tide will take me, if i will return to fb or not

well, good for you that you have made your decision and get rid of whatever that was causing you problems. I have not encountered this yet so i'm sticking with FB. It is the best way for me to communicate with family since I am in a different country. maybe when I go back home for good, I wouldn't have to rely on FB this much.

hmm..it seems like facebook can be some problems to some people.. ;D i do feel like it is enough with my facebook account, i can not think what benefits i can take by posting status update or pictures, and my eyes becomes tired just by seeing all updates from my friends in facebook. A lot of people posting junks in facebook.. I opened my facebook so rarely now, but i will not deactivated my facebook account because i use it to keep contact with my friends abroad. Just check my email first, if there is anything important enough or interesting enough to open my facebook account. hehehe.. :) But i think facebook is quite useful to know when your friend's birthday :)

I have actually heard of a few people who quit facebook say that they felt more free after doing so. I have a lot of family on mine so it's nice to be able to see how they are doing. My husband has a facebook but he never gets on there, even if he did he wouldn't be jealous. I'm sorry you felt like you had to quit facebook, but it may be for the best. Mylot is much cooler anyway! :)
