skype is getting slow?.. / myLot

lately when i use skype, my contact/s appear online then goes offline again..and when i send messages to them, there's this circle thingy on the right in which when you point your mouse to it, it says "not delivered yet"..it takes several minutes before you could send a message to your contact.. xP

my Skype has been running really slowly that past couple of days.... the screenshot shows technical information that i am using a really dated version of Skype.....

thanks for the response edsss17..internet connection?..hmm..i don't think so..cause i can download at a maximum speed of 40kb/s using utorrent..and i can use facebook and yahoo messenger without lags..

skype sometimes gets such problems but i havent faced it though. maybe its only for some accounts. hold on... they are professionals .. they'll fix it soon

I use Skype almost every day to talk with a few friends,but i haven't notice it was slow. Might be their is a problem with,with your internet.each time i use Skype its always works for me.i hope that you get it sorted soon.

Yes, skype is getting slow. In our summer classes just last month, we have to make a Webinar (a web based seminar) but it was unsuccessful because we could not connect through skype. :(

Microsoft bought it, you can expect it to turn to complete poo very quickly. I'm 99% sure they'll sacrifice efficiency for pretty graphics, emoticons, adverts and goodness knows what else.

I don't know. I use skype almost everyday but don't seem to have those problems. Sometimes while sharing files it gets a bit slow but not often so I'm happy with it.

I hadn't noticed this as yet,but then,I mostly use skype only for the phone function,whereas I'd use email or IM for messaging more often...I wouldn't keep skype on all the time,only when I was using it,as not everyone I'm in contact with would have broadband to be able to use it reliably! Internet lag can be an issue in some forms of online communication..It depends on the time that you're online,where you live,and where your contact is living too to determine how much traffic at that time could be causing the delay you experience..
