No volume on my computer but it's not "Mute"

Hey, I'm panicking. I need help.
I think I pressed a button but I don't know what button.
the volume in my laptop is set at 100 but I don't hear any sound.
What do you is the remedy? I need help.

it sounds like your having issue with your sound card. i could be wrong, but I'm having the same issue with my laptop. if i shut down my laptop and then turn it back on there is that chance that i would get in sound out of it other then system sounds. i would have i checked out.
