Finally Caught Up

Wow, it's been an interesting few days! We had a lovely holiday weekend. Ate way to much BBQ of course. We went to a friends Sunday evening and played cards and dominoes. I have squash coming out my ears. I pick it in the evening and the next evening what is left has doubled in size and is ready to pick again. I got a few sugar snap peas from the vines last night, and a few cherry tomatoes. Yum! My computer monitor died yesterday and we had to get a new one. I'm so glad I was right and that is all it ended up being. We got it hooked up this morning and I've been catching up on paperwork since. I didn't know what to do with myself not having access to the computer. The dog loved it. He got loads of extra attention. Over the weekend we also bathed all 6 dogs. That is always a challenge. We also worked on our future patio area. And we replaced a tomato plant. Aphids, argh. I prepared some chicken soup for lunch for the week, and also a cucumber salad. Have you ever had them with feta cheese and tomatoes? I tossed it in Italian dressing and it is delicious. I also saw a recipe where you use Pica De Gallo. I'm sure that is good too. I'll have to try it next time. It is quite warm here. The upper 90's. Trust me, in a big metal building it feels warmer than that. Fortunately and unfortunately, I do get to leave a bit early. Fortunate in that I will be in a cooler place. Unfortunately, it's the doctors office for a regular checkup. I just wanted to pop in and check in. I'm going to try to get a few more things done before my appointment. Then tomorrow I'll be back to a normal schedule. I'll pop in and check out the discussions then.
