Listening / Talking While Being Busy With Something Else

Sometimes I get really annoyed when a person talks to me or tries to pull out a verbal discussion while I am busy doing something over the computer. Like last night, I went online to check myLot and my e-mails when my mom started chatting and talking and talking and wanted me to comment. I find it difficult to listen to her and analyze what I am going to do or read. I end up shutting the computer and saying my mom, "are you done? i'll just sleep". What she did really gave me a bad mood. I mean, she can talk to me whenever I am not on the computer, but not during the lone 30-minute period I can check mails in the PC in the house. She also dislikes being talked to when she's doing something in the computer, so I guess she should have known very well! Do you have the ability to keep your eyes glued on something or do something in the computer while listening and talking to someone? I oftentimes really find it hard.

my mom is sometimes like that but I usually just say "mooooma!" and she'll just smile and walk away... I can talk to someone while typing but if I'm reading something, now, that's different!

At least your mom just smiles and walks away. Mine would not do that --- she'll continue talking her heart out. Funny, but irritating at times. Thanks for commenting. Happy mylotting!

Nope, I also find it hard focusing on other things when I'm on the computer. I also don't like talking while I'm texting 'cause I always forget what I'm supposed to type. I guess there are just things that you can't do at the same time. :P
