Hi Jmana, Facebook has impact on the country rather. The productivity loss is also caused by facebook. Most of the employees spend their productivity hours on FB and it really very pathetic for our country.

Hi! For me, FaceBook both has positive and negative effects. Let's discuss both sides: POSITIVE: For me, I am thankful about this social networking site because I was able to get in touch with my long lost high school, college and even childhood friends! This is the perfect place for us to catch up with each other, and get the chance to do a little chit chat every now and then. It keeps me updated with friends, events and many other factors that might interest me. Expressing my feelings is also another positive aspect that it has for me. NEGATIVE: Sometimes, at work, I often get distracted because of notifications, chats, messages and what not. This is why I usually close my FaceBook browser during work. Another negative aspect I have seen is that there are simply some people, who just rants and whines all over the network! I know this is the best place to express yourself, but this is not the place to start a fight with!

If you really think about it, Facebook is bittersweet. It may be a good opportunity for people to express themselves, but at the same time it makes relationships so impersonal. A lot of people would rather talk on Facebook than in person. It's great for friends and everything, but some people can get too absorbed in it.
