Shaquille O'Neal announces his retirement

After 19 seasons, Shaquille O'Neal officially announces his retirement. His choice of social media may be questioned, but then again, he has long been known to be a fan of Twitter. He leaves the NBA as the fifth all-time leading scorer, and is one of its most dominant big men. Should he retire now? Should he try one more year to make it an even 20? Or should he have retired years ago? Ladies and gentlemen, your thoughts on this subject.

I love Shaq, he is the reason I started even watching the NBA. I think it is the perfect time for him to retire, though I think he could have made it a nice even 20. He is a fun, joking around kind of guy who loves life. Best of wishes to him.

Definitely. Personally, it could've been nice for him to try and make it an even 20 seasons just so that he can match Kareem's number of years in the league. Then again, if he's still seriously injured as he mentioned, then all the best for him.
