There can be no doubt but that humanity has made a mess of things from global warming to war and destruction. Let there also be no doubt but that we are going to have to clean up our mess, and the quicker we start, the easier it will be. There are those who believe that we are going to be let off the hook, that when things get too bad, their God will suddenly appear and take care of them. There have been thousands of such prophesies in the history of mankind, almost all having the prophet and his followers being taken up to heaven and to eternal bliss, or living on a revitalized new earth. Those who don't agree with them will have to experience hell on earth and than hell itself for eternity. Today, more and more people are being to see that this is not how things work. None of us are going to get off that easy. We live in a global village and we have to learn to get along with our neighbor. If we don't like the way he/she is acting, we don't take a gun and shoot him/her, that's what we've been doing since the beginning of time and it doesn't work and never can. We've got to take responsibility, we've got to do the hard work of sitting down with our neighbor and talking things over until we come to a solution that we can both live with. There is no other way, and when we start listening to each other we will most assuredly find that we have much more in common than we had previously thought. We are also going to have to get serious about the way we threat our planet and it's atmosphere. Already we are beginning to see the consequents of our actions and lack of concern and many will need more of the same before they wake up. I firmly believe that we create our own future. Who agrees?

The world suffers from human greed and short sightedness. Those that have grab tightly to what they have and those that don't have covet the others. Many claim that because we tasted knowledge we were thrown out of the the garden of Eden and forced into this circle of have and have not. Is this true? I don't know, I do know we are not handling knowledge well. No one on earth should starve, freeze or die of illness of neglect. History shows that Mother earth recreates her surface in the natural order of such things, can man survive this? Well we have before and when that happened we were given the chance to start again with much fewer people, but here we are again in the same old holes. The answer? I don't know but I do know if you continue to do the same thing over and over again the answer will be the same. Blessings, we need it.

Hi savypat, Thanks for such a good response and we have survived before, perhaps many times of which we have no record. I think we can survive again, let's hope there will not be too much suffering. I feel that we now have a chance to move forward to the next step in our spiritual evolution. Blessings.

We should always be willing to take the responsibility for our own actions. It doesn't show our self respect or our respect for anyone else when we can't do the simplist thing as to accept the consequences for what we bring on ourselves.
