I thought job agencies were supposed to help you find a job and get on your feet even if you have no experience but have skills and no job experience. I have no job experience and I called an agency and they said they don't work with those who never had job experiences before.. so whats the point of agencies? Makes no sense, not sure if they were rude but everyone I know says that job agencies are supposed to help you. Anyone ever find a job through a job agency? How was it? Were they friendly or just plain rude??

Yes I have experience on both sides of using agencies. I have gotten some great assignments years ago and they paid exceptionally well, primarily because they charged well over double for their staff. Therefore they could afford to pay well. I have also being in high executive positions have used agencies to hire temporary employees. There were a lot of very high skilled employee's as well as really bad ones too. So sometimes while the jobs in today's market are scarce they cannot take a chance on loosing a client. Though some do take inexperienced employees, so my suggestion is to keep trying with others as well and one assignment may lead you to several thereafter as well as probably a permanent job too.

Hi my sweet dear friend Yes there are so many agencies here, though the economy is not so good so not sure there is a lot of work as there once was. But am sure many still get placed.

hi, i will never wanted to apply to agency because you're right that they will never hire you if you dont have any experiences in work,so for me its more better to apply directly in a company, much better than agency.

I personally have not gotten a job through an agency though I signed up with a couple a few years back, but I know people who have gotten some good jobs through them and some did not work out so well. I think they are all different in what type of employees they will take and what kind of jobs they find. I also do know some that work with people who have no experience, so you may want to call around to other agencies and see what they have to offer.

There are number of job agencies in the market. Find a suitable one and apply. There are number of agencies which give placements to freshers according to their capabilities. But we have to pay good amount to them for their work.

Hi there! My son had a job in an agency and he has no experience yet when he applied but one thing that he doesn't like from it is they pay lesser than the usual salary of the position he applied for. It is still on minimum wage and since it's his first time so he accepted it. His contract already expired and he did not continue his job,my son is getting tired commuting to the school he is in,he worked in a school as an IT. They(agency employees) are friendly he said. I guess not all agencies are rude infatuatedbby,it so happened you accidentally went to a rude one, lol! You can still try other agencies. Goodluck!

One Job Agency is different from Another. But they should handle Entry Level Positions as Well Experienced Positions. They Work on Payments from Your Salary and the More You Earn. The More You can Pay Monthly. I got 2 Entry Level Positions Jobs through and Agency. Plus others Based Upon my Retail Work Experience. Both Owners were Nice and Friendly. Send in Your Resume to a few Agencies by Mail or Fax. If One don't Accommodate You another Will. Keep on Trying and Don't Give Up. You will Find One ore Two Bad Agencies along the Way.

I used a temp agency before. My first job out of college was working through a temp agency and I did several assignments when I was with them for almost two years. I didn't really like temping at the time because there was no benefits. I would do it again if I had to because it's a job and it's better than nothing. The good things about it is that it gives you a chance to try out different kinds of jobs and it is flexible.

Job agencies used to work quite well in the past, but now I suppose the jobs just aren't there anymore. I used to work for several agencies, many years ago, who could give me temporary engineering related work. When I was sent to a food processing factory as a maintenance engineer, many unskilled ladies were also recruited for packing duties. These were short lived jobs but they used to keep us going in hard times. We were normally an extra shift, or holiday fill-ins, when factories were busy. Today, who is busy?

When my husband and I came to the United States, he got a job with a temp. He had worked before but not here in USA. He started to work immediately. One year later the company made him permanent and he still work there. You should call to other temp agencies. Maybe you have better luck next time.
