I took my kids to SeaWorld for fun yesterday and I put sunblock on them, but forgot myself. Needless to say not feeling to good today. My face hurts and it seems only one arm got burnt. Go figure. I picked up Aloe today and put some on. A few years back, seems like an eternity ago. I took my cousin and a friend to the house I was a nanny for. I was house sitting and asked if we cld use their pool. I wanted to tan so I decided to not put sunblock on. I burnt so bad the next day I was swollen. So swollen my eyes wouldnt open. I had to miss work. I was a photographer at the time. I called in and they didnt believe me. I told them I would be in the next day. I went in the next day, still a bit swollen where they realized I wasnt lying. A few years later I found a pic my Mom took of me while swollen that first day and I didnt recognize myself. Ever since than I try to remember sunblock is very important. Seems with kids though I think about them and always forget about me until its to late. Now Im red and in pain. Oh the humility. Since with kids its hard to stay home when one is in school and you have to run errands.

I miss SeaWorld! We used to live in Tampa and had yearly passes to SeaWorld and Busch Gardens!! You are right about sunscreen, when we forget to put it on, we pay for it dearly! I am constantly reminding the kids to apply and re-apply it.

I am really enjoying this living so close to some things. I grew up in CA, but in the valley so it was still about 8 hours to Disneyland than add almost another 2 hours for San Diego. Now that were living in the San Diego area its the perfect oppertunity to take advantage of all this fun stuff. Were buying our DisneyLand annual later this summer. Nice to have so much to do, just have to remember that sun is blaring.

That's why night swimming is the best, only if you're in a swimming pool. My friends and I used to go out of town every summer for an overnight stay at a resort. All we had to do is soak and swim and not worry about getting burned. Going home, all we'd do is sleep all day.

I have gone swimming in the evening and it is nice. With the kids though day time is best. Plus the amusement parks hours. I just need to remember that sunblock. I dont have the luxuory of sleeping all day and playing all night. I dont think my kids would do to well. Sounds fun though.

Try some Aloe Vera extract. Your local organic food store should supply it. Aloe Vera soothes, and heals burns in an all natural way. Good luck to you, I hope you had fun inspite of the sun burn. Sea World is a great place to take the kids, I also took my kids to the sea world in Orlando last year.

I went out and bought this yesterday. They carry it at walmart too. When I was feeling the burn that evening I knew what I needed. Thank you I always tell ppl to get Aloe to. It helps keep the skin from drying out and soothes the burn.
