Since their dad died in 2/2010 Jake and Josh have became part owners of the Corneila Marie. I watched the whole season last year of "Deadlist Catch" and saw Phil Harris pass on. Since then I have caught a few episodes of the new season. I really think Josh and Jake have shown they were not prepared to be boat owners and they gave me the impression they wanted Capt. Derrick Ray to just like their dad Phil! When he didn't the boys could not except it and just gave up! That is what I got out of this! Capt.Ray wanted to teach the Harris boys but they didn't want to listen to him! The boys were the one being arrogant! Not the other way around! With the pot allegations against Jake seems suspisous. Jake left the boat after they docked without taking anyhting with him and headed straight to the airport! with the pot stuff found in the engine room is also suspisious! If no one was smoking it why was it still on the boat? I think the Harris boys didn't give Derrick Ray eoungh of a change. It is obvious to me Jake and Josh need alot of growing up to do! I also believe Phil is looking down on them and shaking his head! I think he is disappointed in them!

I know that this post is a year old, but hopefully you check back here. I have watched every single episode of deadliest catch from season one till the one that happened last week. I agree that the boys did not want to learn, but I also agree with the boys at the same time "not the pot smoking part". I think that the captain should have just did his job and not tried to train the boys. He should have stated this during the begining on his time as captain.
I do think that this season each boy being on a different boat is a good thing so that they get some time apart and see what crabbing without family is like. They will also learn more this way because they will not be compeating as brothers do.
I have some wierd obsession for this show and as long as it is on.....I will watch.....Woooooooowwww Heahhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
RIP Phil. You really made the show that much more interesting.

I had forgottan this discussion! I did watch alittle of last season's "Deadlist Catch'. I didn't alot becasue it is not the same without Phil Harris! He was one of the reason's I loved watching the program! I have not watched it this season. I was into watching "Dancing with the Stars"! Anyway I will be watching it starting next week because now "Dancing with the Stars" is over for the season! I watched it becasue I am a Packer fan and had to watch Donald Driver! Back to "DEadlist catch" I know Jake Harris is on the Hanson's boat the "Northwestern". I am interested to see how that goes!
